Armitage Weekly Round-up – tumblr edition #15

Wow, I had a bloody fantastic week. Tuesday brought my mojo back with the release of the Instagram image of “Chop among Rubble”, Wednesday I received two supply parcels for my shrine endeavour with lots of goodies, Thursday my latest shrine got received and revealed, and Friday saw the exciting speculation of RA possibly appearing on stage this summer. My week culminates today with the Round-up – and the fact that I have a weekend on my own. Yay. Let’s start the day with a little laugh and a bit of drool… Here’s Round-up #15:

  1. Mezzmerizedbyrichard has started a series where she combines RA’s quotes with the appropriate imagery and gifs. Nice for some trips back down memory lane
  2. Talking of memory lane: For those who did not know – Richard started his film career as a dancing seaweed. Applefia has unearthed the evidence. Or is it?
  3. Trust Mrpuddingston to come up with some one of the funniest caps ever…
  4. Sahraobsessed inadvertantly finds out that Google is pretty good at gauging what is hot
  5. LOL. Our own Obscura amuses tumblr with a little graphic she made… I love men who hold frogs.
  6. Is “wrinklitage” just funny – or disrespectful? I go for the former…
  7. I know this has already been reblogged in blogworld, but for my own record I want to mention the fourth and conclusive part of Playazindaback’s/AwkCeleb’s ArmitageMania series
  8. Look at gif 3 of richardarmitagemania’s set. Some said it was a sexy gesture. I suggested “indigestion”. I confess, I was joking. Maybe he’s preggers?
  9. I must have missed this when it came out a couple of weeks ago. But I want to include this hilarious gif set by arubajamaicas all the same. I literally laughed out loud
  10. We all love Richard’s hands. Circusgif has giffed them close-up. Thank you!
  11. Try and heed this warning by lnorth216. Let’s see how long you hold out EDIT: This graphic was actually created by Phyllisfaves on her blog – almost a year ago. I am adjusting the link accordingly. Thank you to Sahraobsessed for bringing this to my attention! And apologies to Phyllis
  12. Sahraobsessed finds the reasons why a disaster movie is a clever career move for Mr Armitage. Backed up with serious figures
  13. This week’s “Oldie but Goldie” – I always have to laugh about this gif from BTS of TH. So accurate!

Hope you found something you liked 🙂 Have a happy Saturday, everyone! ❤

  1. Thank you for the link Guylty, I enjoy putting those posts together. 🙂
I can always rely on you to come up with a couple of posts that I’ve missed, this week it’s #ix which had me laughing out loud too.
As for #vi, I much prefer “crinkles” to “wrinklitage”. The years add wrinkles, but crinkles are created by a love of life and laughter. 🙂

  2. I feel like I’ve arrived! 😀

Always something here that I didn’t see – thanks! You lucky girl – a weekend alone! (Mini Me had a friend sleep over and she’s been in my room 5 times in the last 2 minutes…I will live vicariously through you if you don’t mind.)

  3. Lots of goodies as always – thanks, Guylty! Enjoy your weekend – I haven’t even got kids to bother me but I’m still jealous 😉

    • Weekend got off to a bad start: Moth invasion needed immediate action. Washing load #4 just on. Two loads dried, one load ironed. Grah!!!! I am losing valuable Richarding time here…
Have a nice weekend – and week – too, Helen! x

  4. Thanks Guylty for your round-up. #xiii – so sweat ! I can imagine him when he was a little boy. All his friends around him laughing and doing absolutely everything and our little Richard being calm and reading a book (certainly Richard III) !!! and # x Richard and his hands : a neverending story. They say Italian are always speaking with their hands. May be he has somebody of his family with Italian origins !!! LOL. Have a nice week-end.

    • Didn’t he say he was the class clown when he was young, though?
I am endlessly fascinated with people who talk with their hands. Speaks of irrepressible passion. Like Italians 🙂 or RA?

  5. Thanks for putting this together! (I felt a little better this week about my perusal of tumblr — I had seen some of these at least, lol.) I wrote about the “seaweed” thing several years ago and concluded it is him, fwiw.

    • Yeah, for those who follow me on tumblr the round-up is a bit boring. I tend to reblog the stuff that I collect for the round-up. Just to have the links at the ready.
The seaweed – yeah, I knew it was old. And I couldn’t say with certainty I see him in it. But it’s possible…

          • Tough job watching this video. Def not my cup of tea!! Brrrrrrr….. But my impression somehow, besides the dancing scenes that there is a guy (b/w) at 1:30, 3:28 and 3:35 min that looks in profile pretty much like RA, although it is really only one of the briefest glimpses…

            • Yeah. It *could* be him. Ah well, not losing any sleep over that. A mere footnote in the history of RA 😉 A very funny one, though. Modern technology is great – all those blasts from the past. I wonder how Mr A feels about that? Amused or annoyed?
