Oh I love the peek behind the scenes. And therefore I interrupt the strictly non-news feed of this blog to bring your attention to photographer Sarah Dunn’s portfolio page. I know you are all drooling about the latest version of the fake film noir shots (this time in washed-out blue-greens), but I love this much more. Click on the image below if you want to see it him bigger. It pays to be interested in other photo projects too *ggg*.
No time now, but might give a bit of a photo lecture on this later. Enjoy:

I had been doing that periodically, but I think she has updated her page recently. It’s great to get some context, isn’t it?

I’m gonna add (although I know it’s not a popular opinion) — he seems much more relaxed here than he did in the Fault shoot, for instance. One thing that wins me for the photos is that he doesn’t have that tortured look BTS. No Armitages were harmed in the construction of this photo shoot.

Lol. Indeed happy looking. (Although not sure about the ladder sport… A bit grumpy there?) and you know what – those shots are RL RA – or more so than the glossy version of them!

Guylty, I’m with you in my enthusiam about an unsuspected, secretive glimpse behind the scenes!! Thanks for finding it!!
Still, (ok, being a bit of a spoilsport here!!) the shirt he’s wearing is a little toooo tight for my liking (aren’t they supposed to be of a slightly looser fit?). It gives the weird impression as if our slim (!!) guy has gained a bit to much….. (Du kennst den unschönen Ausdruck “Wurstpelle”!! Ahemmm… 😉 Oh, shallow me!!!

Lol. Now, that’s very critical of you, Linda!!! Tightness of shirt occurred to me, too, but I must confess I am really getting into the snug tight look. He’s slowly eroding my resistance…

Sorry, for being soooo critical! Albeit snuggling up to him would always be prime option!! Seufz..
BTW I can hear those resistance-boulders cracking up to here !!!!! 😀

@linda60 I noticed that too, but I think it works for him because his shoulders are much broader than his hips – if the balance were the opposite, it would NOT be good. It also helps that he has an actual waist, unlike many men. I don’t think he does as well with tighter pants, btw – but this I’m up for 🙂

Thanks for sharing. A great find. I volunteer to roll up Richard’s sleeves anytime. How do you get that job? I have extensive experience being a sleeve roller-upper.

Scarf fluffers, tie-adjusters, sleeve roller-uppers – there’s much scope there. Apply to Ilaria?

LOL – goggles. Could be incorporated into the Armitage Army uniform. Complements the obligatory beard nicely. Also handy when trying to remain anonymous while scarf-fluffing/sleeve-rolling/generally drooling…

Yeah, but you’d have to contain the moans too.

You could add a gag. It could do double duty as a moan muffler and drool catcher.

Great find! I love seeing BTS.
I went to her page and couldn’t find anything. The I love “this” link didn’t work for me either. Still I appreciate the two here 🙂

Have just checked – either the site is temporarily down or it has been removed. Hm. I feel bad now.

Nonono – that was not directed at you, Tree!!! I feel bad for having drawn attention to the site, that is if it has crashed under traffic. (Damn, I’ve dug myself a hole here – I am hardly a major traffic spreader…)

I was wondering if it was a traffic issue myself although the 404 warning suggests something different. You weren’t the only traffic director, though, if that was the issue. People picked it up from you and spread it.

I know. Seriously overestimating my reach here *ggg*. And yes – sounds more as if content was removed. Pity – I was quite taken with the whole project, and not by virtue of the celebrities pictured in it, but because of the idea and execution.

*Completely* shallow comment I know, but I really *love* the outfit and don’t mind the tightness! The shirt really does a great job of emphasizing the “six-pack”! 😉 I wish more photographers gave us some BTS shots!!

Yes, yes, yes. And what I really want is another one of those (completely gimmicky) BTS videos of a RA shoot that are all the rage.

No, not a swimming pool, after all;-)
But that photo is still not a favourite of mine. I like the in-studio one, though, because this offers a glimpse of the “real” RA: a litte smile – perhaps at the absurdity of the tight shirt. I know, I know, I’m in the minority group here, but I just don’t like it.
Note: I’m pleased with the man, but not with the wrapping:-)

I agree with you – I like the interpretation that we see more of the *real* person in the studio shot. No matter how unflattering the clothes or pose – that is always attractive.

I agree, Mermaid & Guylty, and I wish we could see his smile better… of course, I don’t mind the fit of the shirt either, speaking for myself 😉
