Armitage Weekly Round-up #38 – tumblr edition

Now. This week you really *are* getting a shorter round-up. Because RL did entertain me very well. The “summer of love” as I like to call it *has* left a definite impression on me. All that waffle about being inspired has come true. My desire for more cultural immersion has lasted since September, and I have made more than the usual effort at going out and doing things. Last night I was back at the concert hall for an evening of Brahms, Dvorak and Strauß. But even in RL there are tentative connections to RA that make me smile. Not just the fact that I am at some sort of cultural event because he inspired me to get back into it, but this time there was a cello concert. Need I say more?

Do you also think that that opening could have worked very well as the soundtrack to TH??? No disrespect, Mstislav… It opens so majestically, passionately, aggressively even. Pity, those dwarf fingers seem a little bit too stumpy for such a graceful instrument as the cello. I’d pitch him more as a tuba man tbh. I mean, look at those lips:

BOFA round-up 38

So here we are with last week’s best of tumblr, subjectively chosen by Guylty. Enjoy!

  1. List of The Crucible cinema screening by rarmitagenews. Great service, thanks
  2. Hair-acting. Spotted by armitagina
  3. There is one thing I love about the Strike Back promo portraits: They are just so large, the crispness breaks my screen. Cheers to larygo for posting
  4. LOL – I never noticed that stuffed toys had a thing for Richard… Well spotted marshall-ka
  5. Planet715 who has been delighting us with those cutesy cartoon chaRActers, draws Dr Scott White
  6. Richard Armitage doing stuff and things. By coolbreeze35. LOL
  7. Interesting idea by justdreamingalone – although I have to confess I did not these two together, at all…
  8. Old. But worth looking at for that cheeky smile. He really knows what he is doing… *ggg* By armitagina
  9. This cartoon Standring by planet715 is to die for cute! *shooshoo* *breaksuplaughing*
  10. Best Monday morning gif I have seen in a while. By armitagina
  11. armitagesangel made a gif that is… harmless and hot at the same time *gulps* I think I looked at this for several minutes.
  12. An example how a conversation with your mother about Armitage could go seriously wrong *ggg*. Thanks to thecharmwasbroken for the laugh
  13. The stream expressing itself again. On lostkittyramblings’ dash. Funny!
  14. The still at the end of Jollytr’s gifset – that would look fabulous in a black frame on a white wall. Love the light, the lines, the shadow. Ok, and I forgot – Armitage is in it

And if you want something RL to look at, follow this bonus link – apparently this is the house that is used as a location on Sleepwalker. BTW, have we settled on an abbreviation for Sleepwalker yet? SW?

Have a good weekend, everyone! ❤

      • Manchmal muss man garnichts arrangieren. Da fügt es sich wie von selbst……
Dem Fluffi gehen ja fast die Augen über 🙂 Wen wundert’s????? 😀

Schönes WE dir. 😉

  2. Nice selection of all things RA. making the weekend just a bit more fun. (Or a lot). The Sleepwalker abbreviation of SW seems OK, the only other title with similar initials is Star Wars and I think we can avoid confusing the two.
The title might change like ITS did. Sleepwalker (s) has been quite a popular title, six times in IMDB, so it could morph into Strolling while Snoring. You never know. Kind of has a ring to it.

    • You are a star, Hariclea – thanks for updating me. I am going to see it, tickets are booked. And best thing: Mr Guylty has agreed to come along. He declined first, and when I nagged he said yes… It convinced him that I was so keen on sharing with him why I had been so entranced by this play… Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • i think he will like it 🙂 i keep remembering having many many gents around me of all ages and they were all riveted and usually up for standing ovations at the end 🙂 it’s such a great play! 🙂 i haven’t booked mine yet as can’t decide where to go , which cinema has the best screen/sound…

        • Well, in *that* respect living in the provinces is easy – not many cinemas, and the one I chose is the easiest to get to (plus has online discount *ggg*).
I think Mr Guylty is going to like it very much. Moralistic plays are right up his street. I so look forward to discussing with him what he thinks. Bracing myself for the husband scrutinizing Mr A’s performance, of course, but at least he will be able to understand that there was more to watching this play than merely Armitage.

          • i know it will be so nice for you to be able to talk to him about it once he’s seen the detail, very curious to hear what he will make of it 🙂 will you go twice? 🙂

            Like

            • No, I don’t dare go twice *ggg*.
BTW – I just received the DT e-mail, too. It’s quite funny how there is quite a bit of time between you receiving it and me. Must be due to the alphabet, and your e-mail address beginning with a letter further up in the alphabet than mine…

              • oh i understand, you better make it count then 😉 i think i will try to go twice, but will prob end up alone the 2nd time..
I think it must have been by order of subscription? the crazy eager ones first, normal people last :-p (and they often end up in spam to, ridiculous consider how much trash hits my normal inbox instead of going to spam…)

                • Good point – order of subscription time. I was late to that party *ggg*.
BTW – has anyone tried any download from DT last weekend? I never got ’round to it because I was tied down with my visitors.

                  • it code is only for rental but i bet it would still work if you tried 🙂 I only remembered very late last night and did the following: downloaded and installed their desktop player a and then went , having logged into my account and chose the Much ado which i’ve always wanted as rental , put in basket and selected pay then put the code in the box and all done it could either watch it online and when i went into the player and logged it it immediately showed up there too, Available to play until the 11th November, which means technically 1 month rental which is pretty good 🙂 Code does not work for buying to keep, just for rental. So try it today, i think it should still work 🙂 No rush with viewing, you just need to use it fast to acquire a rental which you then seem to have 1 month to watch 🙂

ix – Alpaca cartoons are too sweet for words, the shoo shoo had me laughing and puddling at the same time 🙂
x – why do i like the silvery eye shadow on Guy??? and why does it not make him less manly??
Staged – sigh seems i missed out on that one, it appears not more DVDs will be issued… and one thing is certain he is the king of the embrace 🙂
