Now – sentimentalities aside again. It’s time to reveal another RAPS. This one started with a commission and a parcel
a hundred years ago in June. “What took you so late? It is already dark November.” Truth is – when I make a commissioned RAPS, I put myself under much more pressure than when I am freely crafting away. I like to honour the recipient by personalizing the RAPS for her alone – and that takes time and thought. cRAmerry is the recipient of this RAPS, and she had made it simultaneously easier and harder for me to make her a RAPS. She stipulated that she wanted a “no frills” shrine, and she even suggested a favourite photograph. But – oh woe – a RLRAPS… Guylty’s non-existent conscience was reeling. In any case, inspiration did eventually strike, after months of stalling, and when the debacle of the lost RAPSi for Herba struck, the deadline had been set: I had to make the shrine before going to Germany so that I could entrust the precious RAPS to the postal efficiency and reliability of Deutsche Post AG… I actually made it 😀
So this is a non-frilly RAPS:
No sparkles, just a picture on the lid, nothing else. Can be removed because it is a magnet. In case cRAmerry doesn’t want to attract any attention to the neat little box in her bag…
This is cRAmerry’s favourite incarnation of RA – Berlin nape-curl edition. What better background to picture him on than the headlines he has made over the years? Such a modest sex symbol 😉
A little birdie told me that cRAmerry has a thing for hairy arms. Well, that’s not unheard of – and rather understandable considering the fine Armitagean extremities. Focussing on the bare essentials, I only stuck the delectable casual RARA into the shrine – but for a bit of fun it is covered with a little magazine for forearm fetishists. It is removable – here’s what is inside:
Here it is all ready to go:
Deutsche Post did not disappoint – the RAPS arrived safely and quickly. And word has it that cRAmerry has stuck her nose into her emergency RAPS a few times already, taking a dose of Armitage for distraction and delectation… Happy Richarding, cRAmerry! And thanks for supplying the extra photos of the little magazine.
