2015 Armitage Weekly Round-up – tumblr edition #4

After four weeks in the year 2015 I think we can establish that we have never had it so good. Hobbit goodness in Beijing, more Crucible stills, announcement of new role in Hannibal, and with all that exposure a heightened media awareness of Mr A and subsequently airport pics of the arrival in Toronto. No wonder tumblr is working over-time… Enjoy the rich reapings!

  3. Click, click, click, done!
    Okay, die Sanduhr läuft und läuft und läuft………. Am Horizont materialisiert sich langsame eine Insel (mit zwei Bergen?).
    Aber zurück zum Thema: unglaublich, wie locker sich Dolly in die Fanart eingliedert (-schleicht?). Tut erstmal noch garnicht weh. Körperlich wird das sicher so bleiben (das ist auch eine sichere Bank bei DEM Material). Fraglich, was man mit den physiognomischen Gegebenheiten anfängt. SPOILER (jaha, ich weiheiß….!) Ich denke da an das Auswechseln diverser Hilfsmittel (ist das kryptish genug?). Das verGIFtet den Gesamteindruck.
    Aus deinem wöchentlichen Potpourre gefallen mir besondert der verpixelte kleine König (unfassbar, musste erstmal die Linsen scharfstellen!) und zeesmuses Fangirlschwenk ins RL. Das ist für mich die idealste Version des gesunden Fangirls. Hat mich echt gerührt.

      • Click, click… BOOM? One of my favourite songs by Irish band Ham Sandwich. Cute video to boot.
        Klar, Dolly wird jetzt voll ausgeschlachtet (ahem). Der Charakter ist natürlich auch voll so angelegt – was ist schon anderes zu erwarten, wenn es um Lustmord geht. Und dann noch von einem Lustmörder, der narzisstisch veranlagt ist. Ich erwarte Massen an titillierenden Edits, wenn ich aus NZ zurückkehre.
        Die Pixel an den entscheidenden Stellen sind echt die Krönung, oder? Fantastisch.
        Und Zee kratzt wunderbar die Kurve von Lust zu Liebe 🙂 (In case Zee reads this: I am saying that you are perfecting the transition from lust to love in your nape curl post.)

      #12 – hehe, hoping you are right. I clung to that POV for a loooong time, but I really am not convinced anymore. Not that it matters much. As with everything, you get used to changes of appearance pretty quickly. Whatever, his face, not mine.

  6. As always, the round up is wonderful!!!! You know, I felt so bad when I posted that little ‘celebrity’ vanity plate and there was such brohaha over it. Honestly, I thought it was just a rental. (Remember where I live) and I found it amusing. Had NO idea it would be so ‘popular’.

    As for the nape curlz…. I love nape curlz! I do adore Richard’s nape curls. I adore my son’s however

    Back to enjoyment.

    • Ha – don’t worry Zee. I think the criticism was directed at me for my ill-judged attempt at a bit of irony. Frankly, I just thought it was funny that media-shy celebrities are being ferried around in limos that announce the passengers contained therein on the licence plate. I really don’t think the worse of Mr A for being picked up at the airport by a limo. In fact, which car he is using in transit has very little influence on my opinion of him. He’s the bee’s knees, forever. ❤

      • Someone pointed out to me later that the company is named Celebrity Limos – and it’s on the license plate holder. I missed that as well.

        I’m still waiting on my other beta for the other stuff. I sent her 5 things ranging from 1000 words to 23K… wish she’d hurry – lol!

        • Hey, the whole thing was meant as a light-hearted comment. By you – and by me. It was misunderstood. But I will not stoke the fire by explaining myself and extending the discussion. As I said – we are both fans of RA, and whatever *I* said was possibly badly phrased, but never meant to seriously discredit RA. Besides, I don’t believe he’d take my little snark seriously. After all, most probably it wan’ts even his choice to book this particular company. He just got in and that’s that.

    • 🙂 Glad you liked the round-up. I am really getting into Dolarhyde at this point…
      Reading matter for NZ: I am currently reading “A Clash of Kings” (GoT 2), but I have just downloaded Stephen Fry’s autobiographies “The Fry Chronicles” and “More Fool Me” onto the Kindle. I suspect I won’t read much on the flights – I tend to be too distracted by the in-flight entertainment and will probably binge-watch whatever catches my attention.

      • Same thing happens to me, but it’s such a long flight. I’m completely in to Hannibal. On season 2 now. What’s intriguing is that, aside from Hannibal, they don’t spend too much time on the individual serial killers. I imagine, with 6 eps, Dolarhyde will be treated differently.

        Pass bloss auf, dass deine Abreise nicht versehentlich als Flucht gewertet wird.
        Was für empfindliche Gemüter da so unterwegs sind. Ich fand auch, dass sich dein Kommentar zm Escort-Service förmlich anbot 😀
        Die mit ihrem APM-Turbo-Modus wären sicher gerne reale “Body”guards und wanzen sich so gaaaanz nah ran. Oh holder Wahnsinn!

          Und ganz ehrlich – manchmal ist es wirklich auch für eine happy Henrietta wie mich geradezu befreiend, wenn man mal ein bisschen lästert. Ist ja sonst nicht unbedingt so mein Tonfall, aber gelegentlich bricht es dann aus mir heraus. Und ja – die mir zugedachten freundlichen Beschreibungen sind ziemlich wirkungslos an mir abgeperlt :-D. Im Übrigen kann ich nur sagen, dass ich erst dann zum kritiklosen Armitage-Clacqeur werde, wenn mir besagter Herr A einen entsprechenden Vertrag mit monetärer Honorierung meiner Bemühungen vorlegt. Bis dahin behalte ich mir vor, *nicht* alles, was der Gute macht, kritiklos gut zu finden. (Bin aber jederzeit zum bezahlten Bejubeln bereit – ich bin da eine totale reputation management-Hure…)

          • Ne, das mit dem Ranwanzen ist original auf meinem Mist gewachsen. Hallo, irgendwelche APM’ler hier unterwegs? Zero-Toleranz bei solchen Anwerfungen von meiner Seite. Und überhaupt, Happy Henrietta, man soll sich auch nicht unnötig verbiegen. Bitte keinen unnötigen Rückzug ins Shilly-shally-RA-Wonderland. Ich persönlich könnte ohne solche gedanklichen Volten mein irres äh, inneres Fangirl garnicht in den Griff kriegen 🙂
            Und keine Sorge, der Auftrag als Mr. Armitages persönliche Jubeltrine bleibt dir 100% verwehrt.
            Also, keep on moving. Der Weg ist das Ziel. 😀

            • So sehe ich das ja auch – gelegentliches Lästern ist sozusagen der Psycho-Hygiene des reiferen Fangirls geschuldet. Man ist eben nicht mehr wirklich zum kritiklosen Bejubeln fähig. Oder ich jedenfalls nicht. Ich bin begeisterte Jubeltrine, wenn es um die Kreativität meiner Fan-Schwestern geht, aber bei Personen des öffentlichen Lebens regt sich da bei mir immer etwas Widerstand.

                • Ich war beim Lesen auch erstmal so perplex, dass mir erst nach einer Weile auffiel, dass DAS ja die Antwort auf die FRAGE war.
                  Da kommen ja noch einige Erläuterungen zum Werdegang, die einen schon Mitleid empfinden lassen. Vor allem, wenn ich mir in diesem Zusammenhang eine so arme kindliche Kreatur vorstelle. Perfide, dieser T. Harris.

  11. 1 Put like that that he can’t be! 2 – that slo mo scene in the movie is just breath taking 3 – Oh bugger why did I never think of this? I think I’ve just stumbled across my weak point in watching… I do want to see Dancy’s Will interact with RA… 5 I had no issue with the car whatsoever, cars get hired to make sure people are where they need to be when they need to be 🙂 6 – yeah I bet he’d be efficiency personified 😉 8 – oh tell me I didn’t just see that! (closed eyes tightly shut!) 9 – hmm I want something more accentuated towards the shoulders and something that seems to move /as if alive when he does.. wonder if they can pull something like that off, they could if they involve a proper tattoo artist 🙂 11 – oh his smugness out on the town… 😉 12.. yes it does, sigh… one should never try and fix a perfect thing 14 – awwwwwwwww 17 – I love Guy !!!! 🙂 and these are perfect! I want them as my screensaver at work 🙂 18 – so do you think Bilbo sits there from time to time looking at the tree thinking of Thorin? Sniiif sniff… I like that thought.. 22 – siiiigh I want to see these live… please RA let it grow!

  13. Finally I got some minutes for myself to read your Round-Up ! And the winners are : #1 – I know RA is not real (very good description of him) but the mad scientist is existing and I want to ask him to create a RAclone just for me. Sorry I will not share. Lol. # 18 : So cute but I have cried. once more. And just a little info (not important at all) I didn’t know the word “farewell”. I knew what it meant only during the last scene of The Hobbit BOFA. Now I will always associate this word with Thorin’s death. Yeah !! And #22 : how I miss RA’s nape curls. He has short hair since The Crucible and I miss so much these nice soft curls of Guy of Gisborne or during the Premiere in Berlin. A last comment : Richard will play a serial killer. I think he must have enough experience for this character as he has already killed the majority of his well-wishers with a smile or one of his selfie !! Again all the best Guylty for your trip in New Zealand. A little bit lost without you but we will manage to survive. xxx

    die 77 anderen, bestimmt sehr lesenswerten Kommentare schenke ich mir heute allerdings, leider ;-( Hannibal auf allen Kanälen stelle ich fest:
    zu4, die roten Augen sehen gruselig aus, auch wenn es ihn irgendwie brandgefährlich und attraktiv macht!
    Die Seite mit Piglet habe ich schon mal gesehen und finde sie einfach nur knuffig! Tolle Idee, süß gemacht, love it.
    Nummer? mit dem Drachen auf dem Rücken: ganz ehrlich, wo ist da der Drache? Für mich sieht das nach übersimensionalem Widdertatoo aus – ich liebe Drachen, nur mal so nebenbei bemerkt ❤
    die nfcomics sind immer gut!
    Die Pressekonferenz scheint ja ziemlich langweilig gewesen zu sein 😉
