2015 Armitage Weekly Round-up – tumblr edition #10

It’s oh-so-quiet… (remember Björk’s song of the same name?). I was surprised. Was it because RA had to cancel his appearance at the Olivier Awards? Anyway, last few days on Hannibal this week – and soon on to other Atlantik shores. Armitage’s cast mates Stanley Weber and Tom Holland have been instagramming a few impressions from the general area where they are filming Pilgrimage. Can’t wait to see what Mr A will tweet from there. The scenery is certainly there ( – *and* he is beautiful, for a change.) But here is what I found on tumblr this week.

round up header NZ 10

  1. Already two weeks ago, but riepu10 attended Hobbitcon and took some brilliant pictures of the Hobbit guys. They were in different posts, so I am linking to the tag
  2. Here’s a Day 7 of the RA31DC. I particularly liked this because of the little true story at the end
  3. Ooooh, here is a screencap of Thorin that is really astounding. By mirielofgisborne
  4. *eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek* Death by stubble. Thanks jahoe1960
  5. Batgirl1010 has it down. Too right!!!
  6. *snorts* and *grins*. Inspired and expertly done manip by timozoe
  7. And this one is even better
  8. Chrispinepine put together Armitage’s earliest film work. Now, shake that ass, baby. I don’t wanna see any snake hips!!!
  9. richardbirdwitharmsitage is back *yay* and hasn’t lost his/her touch
  10. I’m completely with idontfindyouthatinteresting. What do you think?
  11. Applefia2036 has the animal meme down for Richard. Very fitting
  12. Richard Armitage and tumblr tags, collected by thoorins. Loved this
  13. goodgirlheather makes another someecard. I’ll spare you my own reaction to that, though, cos you might be surprised… shhhhhh, but I *really* wouldn’t like that!!!
  14. I like this edit by richardslittle-infinity. And I don’t remember the photo – nice
  15. Fabulous fan-art with great details (brooch, lashes, short hair, plaid) imagining Irish, medieval RA. By cro-gall

I’m leaving at a quiet 15 links, too. Or is it just me who thinks that everything’s very quiet? I mean, I have been so bored lately that I have started tweeting selfies!!! Maybe I should amuse myself with some further helpful hints on Ireland? “From the world-famous series The Shortest Books in History, Guylty presents vol. 4: The Mysteries of Irish Cuisine.” Or maybe I could start a little blogging challenge? I want more reading material from my favourite bloooogs *whines*.

coollogo_com-30009293Ominous? We’ll see. I’ll mull it over over the weekend while looking out for planes in the sky.

Have a good one, everybody!

Guylty ❤

  1. Guten Morgen, na ausgelangweilt?
    Ohne großes Vorgeplänkel:
    2) dem ist ja wohl mal nichts hinzuzufügen. Du kennst meine Meinung als bekennende BEARDrice. Jedenfalls in diesem speziellen Falle.
Ach was, no risk, no fun ❤

I met the man himself in his (oser sagt man it’s?) bearded version. This is the only REAL Armitage for me. Tja, so tickt manches Fangirlhirn.

  2. Yes, very quiet… Is he still in Canada, do we know? Or has he come back to us over here? Lovely Tumblr collection as always, anyway! 🙂

      Like

          Like

          • Pah, Kantenschlag!

  4. The mysteries of Irish cuisine! LOL. Actually we had some great food in Dublin! I think the old image of the UK and Ireland as being antediluvian with respect to food is fading fast. But for a potato lover like me, all you need for a satisfying meal is a spud, plenty of butter and a few snippets of green onion 🙂
BTW my favorite in the roundup is the images of young Richard dancing. Had never seen those before.

    Like

    • *ggg* Yeah, I was being very unfair with my denouncement of Irish cuisine. It’s really not bad, nowadays (let’s forget about the lack of vegetarian options in Dublin’s classiest hotel, though. I am still feeling bad about that!). Not a potato lover by heart, I have grown to like the bulbous veg in my 15.5 years here.
Young Richard is such fun – especially if one has own active memories of the 80s. The clothes *bruhahaha*, the hair… I’d love to see RA watching his young self and reacting. He’d probably pee himself with laughter.

      • Dublin had more vegetarian options than we were expecting. It was a pleasant surprise. And I still dream about the breakfast at the Westbury hotel 🙂
The 80s is not my favorite decade for style, but it’s definitely good for laughs!

  5. Yes, it has been very quiet. Like Linnet, my favorite had to be that collection of gifs from RA’s dorktastic yard dance. I’ve seen it before but something about breaking it down into gifs just upped the hilarity by a degree of magnitude! Thanks for sharing these!

  6. I thought you didn’t get birdwitharmsitage? Or am I confusing you with someone? And I think the photo is from somewhere in the last Hobbit press blitz, a tv interview maybe? but don’t quote me. Anyway, fairly recent.

re: quiet. I have mixed feelings. Tumblr was so painful to read for so long. There can be worse things than boring. I was kind of pleased when I bopped in there last night and all I saw was pics and edits.

I (still) read a lot of fanfic, probably more than I was reading when I was doing Legenda. I could probably volunteer to do that roundup. I’m just afraid that it would generate anger again. If you’ve got an idea for a format, though, let me know.

    • i think i am right in that the photo is from the morning show as he was arriving early morn’ .. and i can’t believe i seem to be the only one who’s seen it or knows it since i am usually the last one to the party! my fan heart feels redeemed rather that guilty for a change 😉
and yes i’ d love reminders about fanfics too!! or wouldn’t mind prompters about stuff people read so i can read along 🙂 doesn’t have to be round up as that take a lot of work

      Like

    • Hm, no, I think I always liked the birdwitharmsitage for its absolute ridiculousness. They have frequently featured in the round-up, anyway, but recently I hadn’t seen them anymore…
Yes, quiet can also be good – at least when it refers to the lack of drama. I just had the impression that there were also less gifs and manips and stuff in general. Or maybe it is still that Tumblr revamp that is frustrating me. (And my slow internet speed – it just seems to take longer and longer for me to comb through Tumblr…)
I’d love it if you could put together a fanfic round-up, but I understand your hesitation. I wonder how it could be done.

  7. 1- They seemed to have had a lovely time, I see McTavish went all out tartan 😉
2- True… I can’t even define what it is about that 2012 look but I find it totally stunning too, that walked past me on the street I’d stop and turn around for a second look 🙂
3- One could drown in those eyes and that expression..
4- I’m totally into the theme of this round up ❤
5- 6- 7- LOL that bob complements the chin 😉
8- effective use of assets is all I will say about that
9- Is this what he looks like at the gym? 😉
10-yes I do hope he’ll give us some insights!! Hat should be as interesting as what we will see..
11- not a p… ok, I better not say it
12-that near semi profile with the blue shawl and the upturned collar… where is that from????? Ohhhhhhhh!
13- oh gosh I hope they stay well away from the accents… like as far away as possible! Better keep it medieval nondescript or something, or in latin!
14-this not from when he went to the morning show? Seems familiar….
15- beautiful and great idea!!! Bring on the hair!

Thank you, lovely .. fuzzy …’ggg’ list 🙂 And I want to be a bored just a bit, in fact if things could slow down a bit I’d be grateful, not with RA 😉 but on my side so I can start tackling the backlog properly. And yes bring on the challenge, at least that will make be battle tiredness and get stuff done, fingers crossed!

  8. Nice roundup. I agree, things seem quiet. Even big mouth me is laying rather low these days. Maybe an infusion of Irish Spring will liven things up. Richard on a donkey, might be funny watching his feet drag on the ground. But not much fun for the donkey. Did they use mules in those days?

    Like

    • I am hoping for lots of pictures of the countryside 😀 And some comments on the rowdy behaviour of Irish people 😉
Yeah, the donkey may be a little too small for him. Not sure about mules in Ireland.
