RA Pocket Shrine 61/? – Thorin for Charity

Today’s post comes as a multi-purpose post. I would like to present a new RAPS to you, update you on the still-rising tally of the RAPS for Charity fundraiser and finally reveal the lucky, yet generous winner of the Thorin for Charity-RAPS. So please read on!

The important bit first: Even after the auction ended two days ago, the donations kept pouring in. In the past 24 hours the tally has therefore risen from the previously given total of 1161.41 US$ to a new sum: At the point of posting we have raised a total of 1251.53 US$!!! Thank you to all new donors. There are also a couple of donations still promised, but not arrived yet, so the total is set to rise further. On top of that, I am still waiting for confirmation from Mr HErmitage the anonymous auction fairy for her generous offer.

BTW, in case you are wondering about the funny, odd sum – this is due to currency conversion as some donations were made in GB£ and €uro. I would also like to mention that some of our sisters-in-RA have made donations of their own to a Nepal-benefitting charity of their choice. Thank you to them, too. No matter how much and where you give – it is much-needed and will be appreciated.

Now on to fluff and the titular RAPS presentation of the headline. You have already seen the sword-wielding Thorin RAPS as a teaser on a previous post. But now I am happy to present the “Thorin for Charity” in his full glory. IMG_4029Only a placeholder outside of the tin, I am afraid. Not quite happy with the design, yet. But the important stuff is inside, anyway:

IMG_4025That puts a whole different slant on “going into battle with flying colors”… I know I am being cheeky; the mighty dwarf king is not to be made fun of. But then who is laughing at his majestic capacity to attract female attention??? Sure, has he not totally conquered us with his impressive sword??? No wonder we are fighting back with ballistic lingerie… But ok, should the recipient find this all too naughty and undignified for the King under the Mountain, I have made the panties and bras in such a way that they can be taken off the sword.

Both the miniature sword and the tin are from a stash that Suzy gave me as a gift when she visited a couple of weekends ago, btw.

And now on to the announcement of the raffle winner. BTW – entered in the raffle were all participants of the RAPS for Charity auctions who had sent in a bid (risking having to cough up a steep price for one of the shrines) or who made a donation, excluding the auction winners who were sure to receive a pocket shrine, anyway. I am delighted that Lady Luck aka randompicker has drawn fellow fan, faithful commentator and far-away Australian Austoz as the winner. I know that she so far is not owner of a pocket shrine, and she was actually the first reader to react to the fundraiser with a voluntary donation. Congratulations!

Lastly, some good news. Phase 1 of my cunning plan to surprise all those who have not been (un-)lucky enough to pay for a pocket shrine, has finished. The first 16 of the pledged RAPSoids have been made. A few more to go, because there are more than 16 people to receive a thank you for taking part. But since I have gotten a taste for teasing, I am ending this post with this deliberately tiny picture to whet your appetite…

  3. Good grief Guylty, you’re doing more than whetting the appetite – they look like fully fledged RAPSs! You must be spending hours and hours on these! Ooo, is that Ricky I see? And luscious Lucas I can make out… And Guy… Some of them are trickier to identify 😉

    • *ggg* hehe, the picture has fulfilled its purpose then… *teaseteasetease* They are not really fully fledged; they are simple versions of a RAPS, hence “RAPSoid” – also because they come in small AltOID tins 🙂
      Two of your guesses are right. Not saying which ones 😉

  4. This result is beyond all expectations, IMO. So, are those thongs, or just bikinis? Interested people want to know. Also, the cover intrigues me. Isn’t that the Richard Armitage crest designed by one of our fans? How did you manage that?

    Guylty goes to mass production. Now you reach the next level on your personal -don’t know how to find the right word- Kreativitätsskala. Unfassbar. Schreinern bis zum Kollaps. Ganz toll und von keiner von uns wirklich erwartet. So macht Charity richtig Laune. Danke schonmal ❤

    • Ich sehe schon, hier wird nicht mehr allen geantwortet. Und dann so scheinheilig anderswo rumentschuldigt. 🙂 Bist exkulpiert. Habe meine Ausmerksamkeitsportion heute ja schon abbekommen. Deutliche Anzeichen von verschlepptem Stress bei dir, hier die werten Kommentare falsch zuzuordnen. Oder liegts an fehlenden warmen Mahlzeiten? Das ist wirklich übel. Drücke dir die Daumen, dass sich das bald wieder zum Besseren wendet. Ha, habe da gerade einen üblen Verdacht: du hast in allerkürzester Zeit dermaßen viele heisse Schreine produziert und euer Haus ist diesem Ansturm schlichtweg nicht gewachsen. Also hat sich automatisch das Gas abgestellt, um Schlimmeres zu vermeiden. Klingt fast wie intelligente Haustechnik, oder? Jetzt musst du die Schreine bloß schnellstens loswerden, vielleicht hilft das. Au Mann, wer den Schaden hat spottet jeder Beschreibung. Ich habe gut flachsen. Stelle mir das echt superlästig vor!

      • LOL – ich liebe deine Interpretation der gegenwärtigen Gas-Situation im Hause. Das Universum arbeitet derzeit offenbar gegen mich. Denn zwar habe ich heute doch noch eine warme Mahlzeit erhalten, und zwar courtesy of Schwiegervater, der uns zum Essen ins französische Lieblingsrestaurant um die Ecke ausgeführt hat. Aber dann der Hammer: Genau in der Zeit kommt hier der Red Dragon auf den Schirm. Das kann doch kein Zufall sein. Universum, was willst du mir damit sagen???

          • Schon geschehen. Bin gerade entsetzt ob meiner schnellen Wendung in Sachen Hannibal-Boycott. Nö, *das* muss man sehen. Und überraschenderweise hat mich die Hannibal-Storyline jetzt auch ziemlich neugierig gemacht. Er und Bedelia jetzt im Team? Interessant. Was interessiert mich auch mein Geschwätz von gestern. Mehr Schrein als Sein, wie man ja so im Volkmund sagt, nech… Und ja, so hat mir Charity auch noch mehr Laune gemacht.     • 🙂 glad you like this… Have been busy preparing the RAPSoids – slightly more difficult to present, unless I follow my usual procedure. But then I’d be boring you for days on end with reveal after reveal, so I am planning something else… Tune in again 😉

      Ich liiiiiebe es, meine Leser mit Cliffhangern bei der Stange zu halten. (Sagte ich schon, dass ich mal im Marketing gearbeitet habe *hähä*)
      Der King of Hearts Schriftzug ist das altbekannte, schöne, aus Deutschland importierte Weihnachtsbastelmaterial – diese zweifarbige Metallfolie aus der ganze Generationen von Kindergartenkindern Weihnachtssterne gefaltet hat. Ich habe das mit der Handgeschrieben, spiegelverkehrt. Jaja, keine Mühen gescheut!!!

  13. LOVE this RAPS!! So much detail in such a tiny thing – Congrats to Austoz on the new acquisition. The ever growing total is equally LOVE-worthy 🙂

    On a separate topic…have you ever considered a virtual “factory” tour of your RAPS workspace? I, for one, would love to see how you keep all of those tiny bits and bobs organized and contained!! (I have possibly been tainted by MiniMe who is all about varied and sundry multi layered storage containers for all of her gear.

      • Na klar, man kennt sich ja schließlich mit allen WP-Tricks aus. Das Foto gibt es selbstverständlich auch in einer Größe, in der man etwas erkennen kann. Aber das behalte ich mir dann für eine andere Gelegenheit vor…

  17. Honesty this shrine is sooo good! I keep coming back just to look at the pics! See the sword piercing the panties and start laughing and then i look down and see his stern+ naughty look and laugh evdn harder 🙂 how DOES he pull off that look? It’s as if he knows ECAXTLY what I’m thinking …

  18. Lucky Austoz. Thorin looks wonderful. And that sword is gorgeous. His collection of lacy booty reminded me of a friend who use to go out on the street and trade Mardi Gras beads for women’s bras. It was amazing how many $50+ bras he got for essentially a $6 bead necklace. I wonder where Thorin will hang his trophies.
    As for the teeny tiny RAPSoids, I couldn’t see them clearly (which I think you meant to do?) but they are proof that good things come in small packages.

    • LOL on the story of your friend!! And I have to say – I would not even have parted with my 30$ bras in return for a plastic necklace… Well, unless he was Thorin. Then I couldn’t get them off quickly enough to throw them at him…
      And yes, the tiny picture is entirely deliberate. Very mean of me, I know – but I am employing sneaky marketing tactics here in order to make readers come back 😉 To be revealed very soon.
