Bei den Bildern hatte ich ein glückliches Händchen – ich hatte geahnt, dass Bild von der Türszene der Schreinbesitzerin besonders gut gefiel, weil sie es kurz zuvor einmal irgendwo gepostet hatte. Und die Look Back-Szene ist einfach der absolute Herzensbrecher im gesamten Stück, oder?

Wenn du solch “emotional aufwühlende Installationen” (künstlerisch betrachtet) in den USA herstellen und verbreiten würdest, dann bräuchtest du sicherlich einen Haftungsausschluss. Wer weiß, was eine unter diesem Einfluss stehende Dame so alles anstellen könnte (Kann sie ein Fahrzeug sicher steuern oder eine Maschine bedienen??)
Ooooh … und dieser Hut! Du hast sogar einen Ähnlich daheim. Den könnten wir hier zu Fasching gebrauchen 🙂 Und die Herren sind damals tatsächlich so rumgelaufen 🙂

Jou, der Zylinder ist praktisch. Der ist sogar original alt (allerdings wohl nicht ganz aus der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts; sondern eher Ende des 19. Jh.), vom Urgroßvater meines Mannes… (Ich bin damit auch schon mal zu einer fancy dress party gegangen – als Marlene Dietrich ;-))

Witzigerweise kennen die Iren, die zu 85% katholisch sind, keinen Karneval. Verkleidungsparties gibt es hier nur zu Halloween. Oder wenn man Lust hat 🙂

Es ist merkwürdig, dass sich die Iren diese Gelegenheit zum Feiern entgehen lassen. Sie scheinen mir (aus der Ferne betrachtet) ein sehr geselliger Menschenschlag zu sein. Ich muss allerdings gestehen, dass ich bisher noch keinen/keine persönlich gekannt habe. Bist du selbst inzwischen schon “irifiziert”?

Hast du eigentlich ganz richtig so erfasst. Die Iren sind gesellig und auch gesprächig und sind für jeden Spaß zu haben. Vielleicht liegt’s ja auch am bescheidenen Wetter hier, dass es solche “draußen-Aktionen” hier selten gibt. Allerdings bereiten wir uns schon seelisch auf die nächste Parade vor – die gibt’s, wie jedes Jahr, am Nationalfeiertag St Patrick’s Day am 17. März. Da sind dann auch solche Themenwagen unterwegs wie bei uns an Rosenmontag.

Oh wow, what a gem! I discovered the lovely RA through Mr. Thornton 10 years ago and it still is one of my fave roles of his. To see a Maxi RAPS dedicated to him is excellent for my “healthy mind and robust emotional release”. So thanks! 🙂

See, that’s how survived two root canal sessions. My dentist couldn’t believe how calm and happy I was. She occasionally had to poke me, though, because I was grinning at all the different voices RA came up with in “Sylvester”…

Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen. Hab das mehrmals mitgemacht und war tiefenentspannt, ja geradezu abgelenkt und bester Laune. Ich hab mich fast schon auf die Sitzungen gefreut. #pervers

Beautiful. I love the door knocker. Imagine how my robust emotional release would soar if Mr. Thornton knocked at my door. I’d grab him by his starched collar pull him into my lair. Is He impersonating the Easter bunny by delivering that basket? I would enjoy Mr. Thornton more than chocolate.

You could be right there, Hari. Since RA is making himself scarce, I am creating my own news. Plus, I am adamant that I will go through with my resolution to make a shrine per week. We are in week 6 now and I am on my 6th shrine for 2016.

Ich muss mit hier kurz eine kleine Stimmungsaufhellung gönnen.
Habe erfahren, dass Roger Willemsen mit 60 Jahren an Krebs gestorben ist und finde das sehr traurig. Ich habe ihm gern zugehört (er konnte wunderbar erzählen und hat interessante Reiseberichte geschrieben) und seine Vierteljahresrückblicke im ZEIT-Magazin haben mich zum Nachdenken angeregt. Nicht, dass ich immer seiner Meinung war…
Es ist schon eine Verschwendung, dass ein so kluger Kopf plötzlich nicht mehr da ist. 😦

Er hat immer mit so einem gewissen Lächeln auf die Dinge geschaut (hübsches Grübchen kam dabei zum Vorschein) und sich für den Moment und die konkreten Menschen interessiert. Ich stimme dir zu, er war ein “Guter”. Von denen sterben zur Zeit einige – Seufzer.
