Armitage Weekly Tumblr Round-up 2016/7

It is to be expected that this week’s round-up is brimming with Valentine’s love. Plenty of Valentine’s cards. Well, you can never have enough pictures of Richard with a cheesy chat-up line on them. They make you laugh. And isn’t that the best thing in the world? Without further ado, here’s your weekly instalment of Richarding goodness, courtesy of those funny, talented and sweet peeps on Tumblr.   12. oooh, and right next to the above I found this fierce looking RA in a picture posted by gonzonr3. Not sure if I had seen that before. If looks could kill… And he wonders why he is cast as a villain *LOL*

    • Danke für den Hinweis mit Nr. 7 – hab ich soeben berichtigt!
      Und Nr. 4 – klar, ich würde zu gerne mal Sir Guys Schwert in der Hand haben. Sieht ziemlich groß aus. Dass er damit überhaupt herumlaufen kann…
      Nr. 10 – jaaaa, ich gebe zu, ich hab den Film ja auch geguckt und hier auf dem Blog eine gar nicht mal sooo schlechte Kritik darüber geschrieben. Der Film ist, was er ist – ein netter kleiner Sommerfilm, sonst nichts. Man darf von so einem Katastrophenfilm eben auch nichts anderes erwarten.

  2. Jaaa…, die 7. Staffel “Spooks” ist endlich bei mir angekommen! Mal schaun – wenn der Schatz mitguckt, dann muss ich es zuerst auf Deutsch ertragen. Ich bin sehr gespannt.

    Ich muss schon sagen, dass Herr A bei diesen Audible Interviews sehr schnuckelig aussieht und an manchen Stellen äußerst amüsant rüberkommt. Er strengt sich richtig an, um dieses laaange Werk interessant erscheinen zu lassen. Nutzt jedes ihm zur Verfügung stehende Mittel und erzielt (bei mir) die gewünschte Wirkung 🙂

    • Oh, Spooks ist toll! Ich beneide dich, dass du das Vergnügen noch vor dir hast, ein für dich neues Werk von RA anzusehen. Und dann auch noch eine Serie – Stunden um Stunden RA. Folge 1 wird wie ein Blitz einschlagen…
      Audible Interviews – naja, ich bin ja nicht so der Fan vom Bearditage, deswegen ist “schnuckelig” da nicht so mein Gedanke. Oder sagen wir so – äußerlich fahre ich auf andere Interviews mehr ab. (z.B. der ganze Medienzirkus 2013 in Berlin). Inhaltlich dagegen liefert RA für mich *immer* Top-Ware. Immer gewählt im Ausdruck, immer ist deutlich, dass er sich wirklich Gedanken gemacht hat und nicht einfach was hinlabert. Zeugt von intensiver Auseinandersetzung mit seinem Beruf und den Themen, die er dort verarbeitet. Das gefällt mir sehr und macht ihn so attraktiv als Mensch.

      • Obwohl ich eigentlich auch keine bärtigen Männer mag, stört mich der Bart bei ihm kaum. Das muss an Thorin liegen. Er hat mich sehr für Bartträger eingenommen. Ich hatte mich im Vorfeld des Hobbits nicht so sehr reingesteigert wie ich das beim Herrn der Ringe getan hatte. Wollte mich lieber überraschen lassen. Als die Tür in Beutelsend auf ging und Thorin “erschien”, entfuhr mir ein überraschtes: “Ach Gott, sieht der gut aus!”, was mir ärgerliche Blicke der anderen Kinobesucher eingebracht hat. Ich hatte nicht mit einem sooo gutaussehenden Zwergenprinzen gerechnet. Seither sind Bärte nicht mehr so abwegig.

        Schnuckelig finde ich aber vor allem diese begeisterten Blicke und seine ganze Ausstrahlung, wenn er von seiner Arbeit erzählt.

        • Mit RA hatte sich Jackson auch einen ausgesprochen sexy Thorin rangeholt. Sieht man ja auch sehr schön, wie sie ihn im Look erst leicht älter und unattraktiver geplant hatten. Dann haben sie aber wohl doch gedacht, das sie aus *dem* Material mehr rausholen können *lach*. Im Buch ist Thorin ja sowieso nicht gaaaanz so der Herzensbrecher…
          Seine Begeisterungsfähigkeit ist in der Tat “schnuckelig”, Bart oder nicht.

        • Die ersten Versuche mit der “Thorin-Maske” waren furchterregend – wahrhaft schrecklich!! Gott sei Dank haben sie sich eines Bessern besonnen. Die Frau, die für sein Maske verantwortlich war, war auch dieser Meinung.

          • Süüüüß…, da kommt Neid auf!
            Hust.., nein, das Foto kannte ich bisher noch nicht. Ich beziehe meine Informationen aus dem wiederholten Betrachten der Anhänge. Da gewinnt man auch sehr den Eindruck, dass die beiden sich ausgezeichnet verstanden haben (sie macht ja auch einen sehr sympathischen Eindruck). Sie sagt, dass sie sehr dafür war, ihn sexy aussehen zu lassen und ich muss sagen, dass sie ganze Arbeit geleistet hat.
            Stell dir vor – stuuuundenlang hat das jeden Tag gedauert in der Maske. Was glaubst du, was die da alles besprochen haben. Er wird nicht immer in tiefer Konzentration versunken gewesen sein oder gar geschlafen haben. Wenn man da so nah beieinander ist, da ergeben sich bestimmt die interessantesten Gespräche.

            • Ich kann dir sagen, in der Maske kommt man sich extrem nahe… Kenne das von meiner Visagistin-Freundin, die oft an mir geprobt hat. Näher als ans Gesicht kommt man sich ja (i.d.R.) nicht, wird so intensiv angeschaut und dabei auch berührt. Grenzüberschreitend. (Der arme RA – das Tattoo für Dolarhyde muss ja der Horror gewesen sein… ich möchte niemanden jeden Tag an meinem Hintern pinseln haben…)

            • Sehr speziell, diese Vorstellung… aber er muss ja immer solch Rollen aussuchen,

              Mir ist noch eine witzige Szene aus den Anhängen eingefallen. Seine Maskenbildnerin hat nämlich eine Zwergenfrau gespielt, als sie diesen langen Marsch nach der Vertreibung aus Erebor gedreht haben. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass es nur sehr wenige Frauen unter den Überlebenden gab und Thorin/RA macht eine sehr neckische Bemerkung in ihre Richtung, dass man keine Zeit zu verlieren habe, um für möglichst viele Nachkommen zu sorgen … 😉
              Sie hatten wohl Spaß.

  3. Diese Sir Guy Valentine’s Karten sind der Brüller. Und wie ich merke, wird nicht erst lange rumgehangen, sondern unser aller Fokus geht direkt auf das sagenumwobenen Schwert 😀 Was sind wir eine anzügliche Bande hier ……
    Und noch was zu 19: das sieht merkwürdig aus. Ist er schwanger? Oder wessen Brust ist das? Oder erkenne ich was nicht richtig????

  4. But I LIKED into the Storm…. Why does every role have to be a the equivalent of a full scale million dollar opera? Sometimes singing a silly song by yourself brings just as much joy.

    It is what it is. Gary was probably the most realistic character he’s played. You could meet Gary in the store… not so much Thorin or Sir Guy or any of the Johns.

    Except John Standring. Maybe.

    • Aw, don’t take my opinion on ITS personally. It’s not my favourite work of his, and I didn’t think it was a *great* film, but it did entertain me, and I did not regret watching it. It did what it said on the tin, and that is fine. And I concede that Gary is believable and real – but they could’ve done so much more with him, it was just a pity that he remained a one-dimensional character.

      • I didn’t expect a lot of character development in the film. I expected to see huge things thrown all over the set. So because I didn’t expect much, I wasn’t disappointed.

        I just get irate with ‘fans’ who think EVERY role should be a John Proctor type role. Something like that would exhaust you after a while. I remember when I was in college and I was playing piece after piece of Hurt Your Brain and Wring the Sweat from your Body type piece and I just… you know, I’m not playing for pleasure anymore. I was fed up and burnt out on the drudge of pulling it from my bottom of my heart. I finally threw in the towel – and me less than a month from senior recital – and spent an entire weekend playing silly, trite, feel good music. I”m down in the practice room, playing stuff from The Piano and hymns and I can hear people walking by – what the HELL is she playing.

        Satisfying my heart, and ignoring my brain.

        So that’s how I look at it.

    • totally! me too! he can really do intense with different shades of it. At the end of the day good to have all that in his physical repertory, never being able to play a baddie is certainly boring in an actor’s life 🙂

  9. sorry for the delay, just so much going on last weekend! it was nice to stay in the mood and it was a very productive week Guy never fails us, does he? The cards were a hoot and so were the comics 🙂 A lot of beautiful drawings too!
    I don’t mind ITS, I sort of wished for more interaction with the kids, but it is what it is, i am not a big fan of disaster movies but there were a few nice scenes with the boys 🙂
