Twenty days into Lent and the fasting-induced suspense is killing me. I can’t believe I am missing such fun and games over on Twitter. *whine and head-desk* From the discussions that are going on on blogs far and wide and German (amongst others), I glean that there is much excitement to be had on Social Media these days. My imagination is running riot. Forgive me if I am entertaining myself with combing through the non-Social Media. Or should that be “anti-social media”? A poor, disconnected fan girl has to distract herself with *something*.
Luckily, one can always rely on the distracting power of retail therapy. I was unsuspectingly trailing the interwebs when this suddenly popped up on my screen.
Seriously. I really had to laugh. No fake.
However, when it comes to fakes, I am not so sure about this other item. Look what I found in the wastepaper basket of the world press. Read with caution. And a bit of humour. (Right-click pic to open larger view in a new window)
Seriously, no offence meant. If anything, I regret missing the opportunity of proposing to Richard. And of engaging with his tweets. So since I have missed the proposals, can I at least be bridesmaid? 😉
Keep enjoying the “tsunami”!
It’s called Murphy’s Law! Thanks for the laugh this morning! 🙂

Ha – true. Should’ve remembered that. If I really want to give up Social Media, I should announce everywhere that I am planning to start a Twitter offensive. That’ll make sure that there will be nothing going on on the platform…

What is this about several hundreds of fans now engaged to The Armitage?! I thought I was the only one!!

So sorry to have burst your bubble, Sparky ;-). Mind you – the article is obviously not from a quality source. It probably got the facts completely wrong and exaggerated. Congrats on the impending nuptials 😉

ROFL! Unswervingly! And loving the “related articles” at the end… you crack me up. I was hoping someone would spoof what is so unswervingly spoof-worthy =)

I was on a roll yesterday and was actually thinking of your latest masterpiece in the spoof genre. And yes, since I have to make my own news due to not partaking in the fun on Twitter, I simply let my imagination wander…
The related articles are something for the next time, a storm threatens the calm 😉 (And the little details are usually the best thing about spoofs ;-))

ah, not to worry, you’re not missing much, happy helps out there screencap and post the essentials without needed to read the collateral 🙂 a very time effective manner of perusing the news 🙂
The well documented and informed article made me think of :
muahahahahaha… 😈
and ohhhh, shiny Guy jacket?? poor chaps… some innocent sods will actually believe that for the meager price of £117 they can put on some leather and become Guy.. tsk, tsk, tsk…. there’s more to the Guy’s assets than a bit of leather 🙂 It’s what’s inside that counts!
But OMG.. i just realised, we better get Guy protected by conservation laws!!! and like urgently!!! now that he’s turned vegan no more leather for us.. EVER!!!!! that’s it….
OMG… my life is over! RA with no leather is no RA at all… end of.

“collateral” *muhahaha* – true that. Although there are many gems to be found in collaterals, too 😉
Brides of Dracula – somehow that is strangely apt. Certainly a similarly contrived and sensationalist work of art as my spoof article…
The Guy of Gisborne leather jacket had me in stitches when I found it. I mean, first of all – the series is now a good few years old. And the design of Guy’s costume is not really “jacket-friendly” – judging by the fact that Guy always wore it closed right up to the neck. But yeah, it’s most amusing how the site is suggesting you could buy sultry sexiness with this jacket. They should’ve thrown in the mustard-yellow neckerchief – that would do the trick…
The leather issue was the first thing that popped in my mind when I heard about the supposed veganism. Yeah, right, as if Armitage was going to give up his Belstaff obsession…

On the upside some pretty meaty fan memorabilia should be coming our way very soon! We should form a fan syndicate to participate in the auctions where he will sell off all his Belstaff gear and his collection of coloured leather trainers!… rubbing hands! 😎 $$$$$
On the downside La Urbinati may not be happy with his new look in all linen suits and cloth espadrilles…
but we should all take heart in that it is for the good of Mother Earth 🙂

Well… but to go back to what you said re. buying a fake Guy leather jacket: It’s the contents of the clothing that count. Nothing will disfigure Mr A. He’ll most likely start a new trend, and the Army will adopt cotton espadrilles as their new insignia…

Was heißt denn “fans NOW finding themselves engaged”?

Allgemeines Aufatmen.
