Happy Saturday, everyone. Ready for your weekly dose of tumblr love? A bit more than previous weeks, a bit less than during peak times. Maybe because it is summer, maybe because news are few and far between – or too obscure to result in proper discussions? Really, Richard, what are you thinking, throwing us hints about “gigs” that are as subtle as a black cat at midnight? Ooooh, the uncertainty is driving me bonkers…

    • Sorry to hear about your insomnia! And yes, pics and posts about RA do not really solve that problem 😉
      I am very much intrigued by the guitar tweet. Judging by his past tweeting behaviour, he wouldn’t throw us such a tweet if there wasn’t a hint of a new project in it. He doesn’t really seem a random tweeter… Curious and curiouser!

      • good evening, Guylty. hope you are doing well. this is about the guitar tweet, I keep reading from people that he might be doing a Queen bio(movie) about Freddie Mercury, that Mr. Richard Armitage might be playing Freddie Mercury or might be playing the lead guitarist from Queen, but I have a feeling that Mr. Richard Armitage might be doing a movie bio of David Bowie. It would be great to see Mr. Richard Armitage play David Bowie, and if he is not doing a movie bio, i hope it will be a cd of him singing and playing the guitar, and maybe the cello

        • Hi Bloodangel – yeah, I have heard the speculation about Bowie, too. Personally, I find that less likely, but then again, I would not have thought a music bio pic likely for RA *at all*! Can’t imagine RA playing Bowie, though (I just don’t think he has the look at all). However, I’ll take any feature-length film that RA plays music in…

  7. I NEVER ‘almost’ fall out of love with Richard. Not even with Suitor on the scene. I’m hoping that week after next he and I can find somewhere still showing My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 or maybe we can go see Alice. I really should watch the original….

    • Oh, I do on a regular basis (fall out of love). There are always bits and pieces that piss me off. He’s not a demigod, after all… 😉
      A trip to the cinema with the suitor sounds lovely! That reminds me – I have tickets for something next week, better find someone to go with me…

      • No he’s not a demi-god, thank you Jesus! He’s human with pros and cons and flaws. I just take it as it goes.

        You know, Suitor and I don’t agree on all things. That’s just part of him and part of me. So far, we’ve agreed to disagree, embrace our personal differences and move forward.

        He made the comment last week that I complete him and I textually reached out and smacked him. No. You are a complete person, a complete picture. I am a complete person and a complete picture. Now, put us together and we are a bigger picture, but we are complete on our own. We compliment each other – and I don’t mean on a ‘Oh baby you look good’ way.

        I approach everyone with that same mindset. There are things I don’t agree with. There are things I VEHEMENTLY don’t agree with, but it’s just part of who he is. He wasn’t put on this earth to make me happy, but he does. I’ll just run with that

        • That’s a really lovely way of putting it – the “bigger picture” rather than “the missing piece”. I like to see it like that, too. Oh, and btw, I don’t really mind flaws in others at all. But sometimes a bit of distance is quite useful to recalibrate… at least when it comes to movie boyfriends…

  8. Loved your collection. I did see Alice yesterday. Our man did a good job, I was not counting, but I think he had two or three kingly lines delivered in an angry rumble. You have my permission to skip the movie. I would like Circus Gifs to know I am available to do a neck porn ode on a moment’s notice of she would like one. That kind of ode writes itself.

  9. OH, I remember those. I think they were too tasteful. Petting his head popped into my mind, but his neck was overlooked for its porn potential. Thanks for the reminder. Maybe I should write one for your post, and spare Circusgifs the gift of my ode. What do you think?

    Oh, Ian…I confess, I had to laugh so hard seeing this gif, seems to me the most ugly costume he has ever worn…And the facial expression is not much better…

    And the dialogue with husband (no. 14) strikes me. Every time I was watching a film with RA and my husband came along, I had to tell him RAs real name. Since husband used to forget it instantly, I’m now saying ‘this is Thorin’ and everybody is content.

    King Oleron even wears this cute shirt with the tiny loop (!) under his impressive coat, no wonder Sinnaminie has to work so hard for this plushie, congrats!

    Btw: I’m very intrigued, too, by the mysterious guitar-tweet…

    • Glad you enjoyed the round-up, Camassia 🙂 – Ian is a bit of an acquired taste, I suppose…
      You are probably less conspicuous in your fangirling if your husband doesn’t yet remember RA. Mine teases me with RA at every opportunity…
      And the guitar tweet – wonder whether when we can expect the resolution of that riddle. Probably in about half a year’s time…

  11. Und ich sagte noch (als er gerade von Berlin Abschied nahm), dass es doch schön wäre, wenn er dort die Musik (wieder) für sich entdecken würde. Dann bestünde (Konjunktiv!) vielleicht die klitzekleine Chance ihn mal in Deutschland bei einem Auftritt zu erleben… Die Kultur-Szene in Berlin ist bestimmt sehr inspirierend gewesen.
    Man sollte seine Wünsche und Hoffnungen immer dem Universum mitteilen. Manchmal werden sie in Form eines verwirrenden, aber in die gewünschte Richtung weisenden Tweets beantwortet. Herrjemine, was bin ich gespannt…
    Das macht der mit voller Absicht!

  12. Frage: Kann man bei wordpress nicht mehr auf einer neuen Seite öffnen? So dauert es ewig mit dem hin- und zurückklicken und ich kann mir einfach nicht merken bei welcher Nummer ich gerade war….
    Vorher habe ich einfach alle Links aufgeklickt und dann in Ruhe durchgesehen 😦

    • Ups, nein, das war mein Fehler. Normalerweise verlinke ich alle Links so, dass sie sich in einem neuen Fenster öffnen und nicht die Blogseite überschreiben. Aber seitdem WordPress sein Interface mal wieder überarbeitet hat um die Verlinkung einfacher zu machen, vergisst man auch den Zwischenschritt des “open link in separate window” leichter. Ich werde beim nächsten Round-up wieder drauf achten! Allerdings kannst du aber auch selber die Links in einem separaten Fenster öffnen: Dazu klickst du den entsprechenden Link einfach rechts an. Im Menü hast du dann die Auswahlmöglichkeit, in einem neuen Tab den Link zu öffnen.

      • Ah danke das wusste ich nicht. Wenn ich was verlinke habe ich jetzt auch nur noch eine Zeile zum eingeben und kann nicht mehr auswählen ob neues Fenster oder nicht 😦 Bei Serv auch, ich klicke dann nicht mehr zurück um nochmal auf gefällt mir zu drücken, schade!

        • Doch, du kannst die Einstellungen ändern, indem du auf das kleine Rädchen neben der Linkseile klickst. Dann poppt das alte Verlinkungsfenster auf, in dem du auf “in neuem Fenster öffnen” anklickst. Ich weiß das zwar, hatte das aber vergessen.

  14. Ah brilliant! i had enough breaks between watery eyes today to actually enjoy this LOL
    Breathing, walking and hello… in bed looking at camera? Hadn’t seen that one, niceeee 🙂 I choose to overlook that blue belt thing, much better uniforms than that emphasizing the right assets 😉
    What would we do without Guy’s quips 😀
    I keep wondering about the gig thing, to me it implies definitely something with music!
    As for Alice, same as you. Sorry for being a temporary traitor, i went to see ‘our kind of traitor’ and shamelessly drooled over Ewan 😉

    • How are you, Hari? Is the sore throat better? What a shame in this glorious weather!
      Yeah, let’s draw the veil of silence over the blue uniform belt. A hip length Belstaff jacket is much more flattering…
      And you hadn’t seen the new Dunn picture? It was released some time recently. Not a favourite of mine, but hey, anything new is good, in its own way.
      And no worries about Ewan – I really like him, too. He seems like a truly genuine guy.

      • Ewan looked shamelessly young, better than a few years ago, who knows what he’s doing! And i’m slowing coming back to the land of living, still drugged to my ears but today first day i managed to spend a couple hours on pc without feeling dead. Utterly frustrating as behind on everything. in between teas and naps i’ve now finally watched the entire Night Manager, can only recommend it. Truly brilliant. And am now, years later finally mid way through Strike back! will watch another 2 before falling to the drug induced snooze fest again. I blame my fits of coughing on the sight of men in tshirt or open necked shirt and cargo pants. Pant, pant, pant… I am starting to suspect today’s bout of low fever was not so much sickness induced… At least i’ll have interesting dreams…

        • Well, judging by you are dry commentary, you are on the mend. Good to hear that. And great strategy, working up a sweat by putting on Hiddles and then Porter. Ok, Hiddles not so much imo, but Porter… *ooof*. If you are half way through, then you have already had the pleasure of “gardening” Porter on the screen, yes? Well, you better get some rest now, girl, because episodes 5 and 6 will blow you away, especially with Porter all sweaty and stripped to the waist on the cross. U-N-F! (And if *that* was not gratuitous eye candy added for the ladies, then I’ll eat my non-existent hat!)
