12dx-1

Well done if you are still following the raffle posts! First things first: The winner of yesterday’s zipper pouch is… Kellyduck! Hooray and congratulations The envelope is ready for sending, so as soon as I have your address, it will go on its way. Draw protocol as usual accessible via click on the seal right.

Without further ado – let’s get to the next prize. This is just a tiny thing, no value attached. A while ago I had a few postcards printed, to enclose to my RA-related correspondence. This may be a prize that those of you who enjoy my cheeky little RA pocket shrines, might like:

1 Full Set of RAPS Inc. Postcards

Just a bit of fun… not worth anything. Except for the smile the pics hopefully bring to your face. This rather small prize will thorntons-classicbe bumped up by our dear Hariclea, who is going to sweeten the deal with a special greeting from Mr Thornton, in chocolate shape. (Ok, that’s not a Thornton-shaped chocolate santa, but a tray of chocolates made by British chocolate manufacturers of the same name… Come to think of it, I really would *like* the idea of a Mr Thornton-shaped chocolate santa… Question is, what would you nibble off first?). To that end, I will have to pass on the winner’s address to her, so she can send off her package from where she is. I hope that is alright! Thank you to Hariclea ❤️!

  1. Your RA pocket shrines do have value. I think you should made a set of cards with the story of each one printed in its respective back. You know, like trading cards do! 😉

    • Again – sounds like a great idea. I must look into that. While it *is* possible to have a set of 100 cards printed with *different* images on the front, they usually come with the same back, though.

  2. I’d nibble his ears… 😉 I love your postcards, Guylty! I use the one I have as a bookmark. Ooo, there’s an idea… tall slender RA is just made to be a bookmark…

    • The ears are a great start, I agree. I would then move on to his cravat, I think…
Nice to know the postcard has a practical use beyond the note-carrying 🙂 And oh yeah, a cut-out of tall slender RA is an ideal bookmark… *grabs scissors*

  3. Schlecht durchdacht, liebe Guylty!

Vernaschen sowieso…

    • Glad you like them, Linnet!
I use a company called moo for my cards. They offer the option of getting a set of 100 cards – but theoretically *all* of the cards could have a different image on them. (That’s what differentiates their service from other providers such as Vistaprint, for instance.) Print quality is great, price is very competitive. Service is fast. I also have my private business cards printed by them – I usually use the small “moo cards”, a format that stands out from conventional business cards. And again, ideal for people who want to promote photographs, for instance, because you have the option of printed each back of your pack of 100 with a different image.

(Have just sent you an e-mail which hopefully contains a promo discount, too.)

    • Thanks 🙂 At last, my photography has come in useful. I’ve always taken the pics of the shrines with extra care, but only because I love setting everything up. But it proved useful when I decided to have postcards printed…

  4. I did make a few bookmarks a few years ago and gave them away at Christmas to much ‘eye rolling’ from the recipients. LOL The ‘look back at me’ was my favourite!

    • I don’t understand the eye-rolling at all – they are such a great idea. I love the idea of having a chaRActer sitting in my book, and I can surreptitiously ogle him while pretending to be engrossed in my reading matter.

  5. Love the cards. Wouldn’t they make great things for RA to sign at a stage door? If he can sign Thorin’s head, these would be a breeze to autograph.

Just a note to say the chocolate pouches are small, 110g, just in case anyone is wondering 🙂 but they do come with love, wish i could say Mr Thoronton’s but probably yes, the one who makes them ‘ggg’ Imagine the other Mr Thornton’s hands and long fingers placing the dainty pralines into the bag , ready to gift him to his ‘sweet’ 🙂
