Gee, it’s quiet. Rich is all but vanished. I was off the scene for a week, too, nursing a deeply annoying flu. Back in business since yesterday, but nonetheless, everything currently feels as if it is only running on half-steam. Somehow my brain must have gotten affected by the flu – I can’t concentrate on anything, and I haven’t got the patience to get stuck into books or long essays. I don’t feel my usual self. Rich, if you are unwilling, then please send Guy to rescue me…
Sorry. Got carried away.
Here’s what I found on tumblr, though.
- A deleted scene from Hannibal, thanks to ghisborne
- Sort of like 9 gifs in one – by orangesinnumerable
- And another one by orangesinnuumerable, which is simultaneously fascinating and weird
- Sorry ladies, no offense, but here is Daniel Miller and the choice word “fuck”… Important research. A compilation by ghisborne
- I always loved these picture summaries by drldeboer. Here is one from the last episode of BS
- Well, and in the interest of research, here is part 2 of “Daniel Miller and fuck”, by ghisborne
- Want a little throw-back? Here is cutesy John Standring (for whom I have lately re-developed a crush, don’t ask me why). Gif by circusgifs
- Ok, I can’t read any of this comic. But the pictures are beautiful, that’s all that counts. Bagginshield, I think. By its-a-mountain
- The memorable moving images of 2016, compiled by ghisborne – I love this
- ROFL – but ok, Royal blood is Royal blood. Thorin as… click and see for yourself. Drawn by nerdeeart
- Queenoferebor1204 has collected full-length Daniel from episode 10 of BS. Nice
- This must have been in the Hobbit vlogs, but I don’t remember this fond fondling of the majestic beard. I am jealous. And I don’t even like beards. Gifs by fizzy-custard
- What a Guy wants – is not what they always get. Nfcomics has another instalment of her series
- Ghisborne has put together the evidence that proves that Rich is right – he is no alpha male, but a “nourish and nurture” guy. Sigh… puddle… dead
Have a nice weekend, all!
Guylty ❤️
Nice round up for such a quiet week. I’ve submitted 2 or 3 chapters to RAF since Christmas but it’s been silent as the grave- no updates at all. So who knows.
(I’d LOVE to see Thorin in Leia’s harem outfit coughcoughcoughcough)

Oh, maybe RAF are sick as well?
And Thorin in a bra is not really my idea of sexy *coughs*

Thorin is too masculine for a bra, Leia robes or worse – Leia buns…. I have a Thorin Gladiator manip I’m preferential too.
Oh well. I hope she feels better soon if she’s sick. William has the chappy you looked at up and Gary has been updated and I’m getting ready to update William again by tonight. I’m doing a reread and clean right now. Trying to stay away from the online clothing catalogues (which you probably saw on my wall) I’ve done in my online shopping for 3 months.
Including books.

Looking forward to more William then.

Oh, I have read the Gary fic, too, of course. It’s all very nice, although just that little bit too realistic for me 😉 – I prefer the unrealistic dream *grins*

Come to think of it, I was pretty sketchy about what Genevieve looked like as well. And Alise. And Mellisande. And Vivienne…. hmmmmm

Ah well, it’s all fantasy, I guess. I’m just not really into football coaches… as a character, Gary just doesn’t really float my boat.

Gary needed a better writer. coughcoughcough.
The movie was about things getting thrown around, not about the coach. Gave me a lot to work with and make up.

Good point. Gary was kind of incidental, and you made him a major character.

Hey, and not to worry, was den Hintergrund angeht.

Erhol dich gut!

Ode to Guylty’s Flu
Who needs an alpha male,
When you are feeling wan and pale.
A nurture and nourish type of guy,
Is perfect while in bed you lie.
He can bring you soothing tea,
Or an extra blanket or three.
Basking in Rich’s tender care,
You’d have plenty of germs to share.
It’s only a matter of time, you see.
When it’s your turn to pass him the tea.
Kathy Jones
I had visions of you being nursed back to health by a solicitous and nurturing Richard. I think we would be tempted to prolong our illness. Glad you are better now. Loved all the roundup, especially the ones highlighting the F word. I did not even notice it, while watching the show. Maybe it makes him sound more American? The main thing I noticed (aside from the obvious leading man) was all the smoking, It is rare to see that on American TV. It’s a big no no.

Oh Kathy, what a lovely ode. And yes, nurture and nourish, by his own admission. However, I have the sneaking suspicion that Mr A would not really be a patient nurse. Mr Moody doesn’t strike me as someone who suffers fools gladly – or has the patience to look after someone else when he could spend the time on himself… Maybe I am being unfair, but well, I just suspect that a man who has lived on his own for all of his grown-up life, will find it difficult to look after someone else’s needs… For the purpose of getting better, I prefer to fantasize with John Standring. I suspect, he’d give his all…
The F word – certainly makes the whole thing more authentic, no matter whether American or British… The smoking was weird, to be honest. It kind of looked artificial to me – Daniel just didn’t look like a smoker to me. (He looked too goody-goody for that.) By and large, when a character smokes, it usually means they are bad…

Wow… that #3 really is fascinating and weird. I watched in continuously for a while!
And the F word was fascinating too. He seems to raise his upper lip while saying it. When I say it (not that I EVER do, Lol), I only move my bottom lip. I had to keep watching and saying the same thing! Good thing my family are asleep!

Sorry to hear that you have been suffering, too. I guess it’s the typical time of year for it. I hadn’t had the flu in years, that’s why I am probably even more annoyed with it than usual.
“Fetch” is altogether more interesting to imagine him say than “f*ck”… Although the F-consonant at the beginning of the word always looks really derpy *lol*

Oh so sorry your feeling like that, flu sucks! Especially around this time of year. Talk about Blue Monday, more like blue month.
What helped me in Dec when i came down with a bug and the cough was nasty was advice from an Indian colleague at work who advised to have turmeric. Sort of half a teaspoon to a teaspoon. Either in a spoonful of honey or in tea. It’s not very spicy and i fin for me it works with tea. I do normal tea or some herbal one (works ok with light camomile or anything like fennel, cardamon or good teas for the tummy) and before pouring the hot water on the bag i just sprinkle some turmeric from the jar. I pour water, let it sit a few seconds and take teabag out. Bit of honey and i top it up with milk (works well with diary alternative too). When i was feeling like the cough was moving down in my chest it really really helped. I kept at it every evening just before bed and it was very very soothing and cleared it. I’ve started takin it again now that i am back as it is supposed to be generally very healthy, just leave the honey out as i don’t like sweet tea very much. Try it, honestly it helps and you get used to the taste very quickly.
I came back without a cough thank God but the Dec one took weeks and left me ko and i’ve come back even more drained. I only just about managed to drag myself to work last week so i’ve started to dose up on fruit every day, preferably citrus because it’s colourful and cheerful and i started on the vitamins again which i’d given up I found some chewable ones in Boots on offer with multivitamins and am taking them at work after lunch so they get into the digestion better. It’s slow but i think it is helping as i have more energy this week and am not dreading work as much as i did last week. Not yet up for reading although i’ve got a stack of books on kindle i would normally devour but, step by step.
Give yourself proper rest and sleep if body feels like it, nothing better for recovery, fingers crossed you’ll start feeling much better this week fingers x! xx
