Trevor Belmont – you could’ve guessed it. He’s a bit of a heart-throb, isn’t he? The kind of man who is a hero – but also needs a bit of rescuing himself. No wonder that female fans all over the world are already falling over themselves and for him… Hence the bling-bling on the lid…
Trevor Belmont has been unleashed – a master of quip and whip, he definitely deserves a few candles.
But hey, if you thought Guylty was going all anime, you are wrong. I couldn’t resist referencing the man who is lending his voice so animatedly *coughs* to Belmont. And no, even though I am referencing the computer game which the first season of Castlevania is based on, I did not get the name wrong. That is a deliberate reference, and you may have already spotted why…
If you pull up Trevor’s lapel, his flesh-and-blood, yet fellow fictional, cousin is revealed. Live action Castlevania? We’ve got him already… our favourite knight, Guy *sigh*.
There you have it. Guylty is entering the Castlevania fandom fray with fan art of her own. Can’t wait for season 2.

And yes, I had to put the Armitage in the shrine, otherwise it would just have been a PS without the RA…

This is a WOW! Trevor is shrine-worthy, not to speak about Guy! Whip it like a Belmont, shrine it like Guylty … can you think of something about Guy?! Love your “interview”, the animated series was a great surprise, I would have never imagine me fangirling Trevor from Castlevania, yet here I am and I find great pleasure in loving this guy!

I am so surprised about Castlevania, too, Glady. And about finding an animated character so interesting. I guess I am seeing bits and pieces from other characters in him – the slacking of Chop, the hero part of Lucas, the arrogance of Guy, the fighting badassery of Porter… The voice work by RA brings it all together.
And how’s this for a slogan: “Whip it like a Belmont, shrine it like Guylty and ship it like a Guy” 😉

Great shrine. As wonderful as Trevor is, it’s nice to see RA’s face under cover of a lapel. What a great way to sneak him in. I am so glad you are are shrining again. The RA world shines brighter when you do.

As always, you’ve outdone yourself. I’d never heard of Castlevania until the Netflix series but am so hooked. I wonder if the illustrators used Gisborne as their inspiration, they look so much alike. Trevor’s is hot.

I have been wondering about that, too, Snowy! And there is a slight chance that he might be – just because in animation they start out from the voice, and then create the visuals. And RA came not only with his velvety voice, but a body of work that includes characters which show some similarities with Trevor… Or at least that is what I am telling myself. I do like Trevor, too!

I was hoping that you’d be inspired to shrine Trevor! I’m not sure if it was planned by the animators but I think the fact that Trevor has so much of the look of RA makes him even more endearing to his fans. Brilliant RAPS as always, I love how you manage to include a sweet but subtle surprise or some tongue in cheek humor in them. Including Guy was genius and one of my favorite profile pics of him. So happy you’re back in the Shrining groove 😊

I agree, Donna – Trevor really is another Armitage character in more ways than just his voice. But yes, having said that, the shrine needed a picture of RA to become an item for our fandom.
Initially I had planned to use another Guy profile for the RAPS, but then I came across this, and it looked so appropriate. It made me wonder whether the makers of the series actually had looked at Guy for inspiration, too.
And yes, the shrines definitely always need a soupçon of humour. Otherwise it gets too freaky 😉

Freut mich, dass er dir gefällt. Castlevania musst du unbedingt angucken, Suzy! Ist insgesamt nur anderthalb Stunden lang, kann man also an einem Abend durchziehen. Und Armitage ist wirklich gut!

I’d never heard of this video game until word came that RA was voicing Belmont. And Belmont looks so much like Gisborne I wonder if Guy was the inspiration. What did Belmont look like in the real Castlevania game?
