Day 4 of 12 Days of Christmas

Good morning. Or rather: good day! I had a massive fry-up with family today, hence my plans for posting in the morning were scrapped. Same applies for the round-up – to be posted at a later stage. So without further ado, I present you the winner of the snowball raffle from yesterday:

Abiwim

Congrats Abi – the snowball shall go on its way as soon as you let me know your address. You can send it to me via e-mail to guylty(at)photographer(dot)net.

And now on to today’s raffle.

Today’s raffle is for RAPS connoisseurs and appreciaters. It’s not valuable, it’s just fun. I recently had a new set of postcards printed, and some new shrines made it into this collection. So here is a set of 10 postcards – lots of colour, various chaRActers, but lots of RA!

Isn’t it funny how that candle looks as if it is actually placed *on* the postcard? I must have inadvertently shot from exactly the same angle as in the original RAPS photo…

Since this is a bit of a poor prize, I’ve decided to throw a little greeting from Mr Thornton in…

~*🎄*~

To enter the raffle for the postcard set + chocolate, leave a comment on this post. The raffle is open for the next 23 hours and finishes at 1pm GMT tomorrow, December 17, 2017. The raffle is open to all, and the items will be sent anywhere in the world, at no P&P costs for you thanks to a generous contribution to the postage fund by our fellow fan CraMERRY. Winner to be announced in Day 5 post of the 12 Days of Christmas 2017, tomorrow.

Finally, just a little note to say that the latest proceeds from sales on Guylty’s Society6 and Redbubble designs have come through. Following Richard’s lead I’ve donated them to Shelter via his JustGiving page.

Best of luck in today’s raffle!

    • hehehe, pistachio – that is a really funny nickname!
Glad the Ricky RAPS still gives you pleasure. It was one of the earliest ones, so not quite as intricate as they later became…

    Ähem. 😉

Übrigens dachte ich zuerst, dass da ein RAPS mit brennender Kerze auf den Karten liegt … Wirklich gut getroffen. 🙂

I’ve been away from the computer all day too, some Xmas shopping to do and then we went for a walk in Verona 😀

Lovely prizes all of them and congratulations to the lucky winners.

It’s pretty quiet here, so I’ve been getting lots of vicarious enjoyment from seeing and reading all about your decorations. So interesting to learn about your different traditions.

Guylty, your house looks so festive and homely with all your little figures etc. I grinned mightily when I saw how a certain dwarf king has sidled in.

    • I love that, too, Jenny – hearing how other people mark this special time of year. Today, after taking tea in a very fancy hotel and taking our visitor to the airport bus, we came home and I sat the whole family down for some Advent down time in front of the fireplace with candles burning, steaming hot tea and traditional Christmas stollen (a kind of sweet bread with raisins, drenched in butter). It was just gorgeous – so special, especially considering that my son is this weekend moving out of his room into a little student flat that we created for him in the basement of our house. I so appreciate the time that he gifts me…

  6. Ha! Your postcards are not a poor prize at all! I think we’d all be glad to take them off your hands. And I still love my RAPS and still carry it with me everywhere.

  7. If I win, you can keep the chocolate or roll it over into another raffle item. I am trying to pretend I am allergic to it for a while. I am getting a little round these days. The cards are a great prize by themselves.
