The Fan A to Z – #O

O – Casual RA or dressed-to-the-nines-RA?

No question. I present my case:

Casual he’s all smiles.

Formal? With an F for frown!

I rest my case.

Casual all the way!

  1. Ode to Dressing Up, Or Down

    I like him in a t-shirt,
    Or covered in dirt.
    Wearing tight jeans,
    He haunts my dreams.
I like him in a tux,
    Which costs big bucks.
    And he’s a beaut,
    In a tie and suit,
    But like him the best,
    When he is undressed.

  2. You have made your case very convincingly, dear Guylty! I can but agree with you. His smile always gets me. Excellent photo choices; they make facing Monday slightly easier.

WTF is up with that “awkward 1” photo? It is HILARIOUS! Maybe we need a post of goofy/geeky RA? He is adorkable is so many ways.

    • Glad you like my argument.
As for “awkward 1” – I have a little collection of photos where you can tell RA feels really awkward… Whenever I need a laugh, I look at them. Sounds mean, but no. It just reminds me how far he has come and how comfortable he nowadays looks at shoots and events.

  3. The one where he lounging in um robe and boxers or shorts-where is that from? He looks very debonair though dressed up esp the Paul Smith shoot just smolders sexiness so sweetly! Thank you for these swoonworthy pics this morning. Makes waking up to a Monday much better!!

  4. Goodness me Guilty, I can’t keep up! Personally, I would like him any way I could get him, but how lovely to be out and have him all dressed up and frowny for everyone in the crowd, then get him home and shed the formal layers; with him giggling as they go… 🙂 (Has it suddenly got a bit warm in here?)

  5. Kathy has nailed it as usual, but you’ve all said it so well before me. I do have a soft spot for Pete the banker though. And I’m not particularly fond of baseball caps. 😦

  6. There is, of course, no right answer to this but I’d like to take this chance to declare my undying love and affection for RA in sweaters. 💋💋

    • I know, I know. I will never EVER forget how much fun and laughter this picture (and particularly the *other* one) has given us. In that sense and perversely, it is one of my forever favourites… 😂

  8. My first response when I started reading this was “casual” RA, and I’m drooling away at the pics. Then I get to the formal wear, and I remember the BAFTA LA tea party pics, and my answer is then suit, suit, suit! So I guess the short answer is no – I can’t choose. “He” is my favourite look.

      • I concur! Well said, indeed. He is utterly scrumptious. Although, tbh, in the recent promo video for the audiobook of “The Snowman,” he looked a bit thin. He needs a sandwich or two, our man. Maybe made with your homemade bread, Guylty? 😉

          • Exhausted from reading all those Audio books or hauling the money from them to the bank? He’s not filming BS3 right so I would have thought he would look more Proctor hunky chunky unless he is prepping for a role in which case I hope it is juicy and worth the wait. I think this thin exhausted look doesn’t suit him at all.

            • No, I think he is still grieving, hence mentally tired and not in top form. The Proctor hunky chunky look is not his “natural” form either, I think, but in that interview he looked less than his usually strength. Understandably so.

              • Yes you are right and it’s been almost 6 months since his mum’s passing and if he is living in London now there may be so many reminders of her… I do have a fondness for hunky chunky look— more rugged and those nice big arms ahhhhh

              • That was the feeling I got also, that he is grieving. Quite understandable, of course, but he did look exhausted. He obviously is one of those people who doesn’t eat when he is stressed. There was something so bittersweet about the way he was talking about “The Snowman.” It seemed that he has very fond memories of it, or maybe the idea of his mum reading to him in general was making him so wistful. Definitely made me want to wrap him up in a cozy blanket and give him a (sort of) non-lustful cuddle. And a sandwich or two.

        • LL, that’s a great idea. That whole interview look was depressing to me. He was incredibly sweet discussing his fondness for The Snowman which I will have to get for my nieces now but he needs some pampering and there are a host of eager beavers to provide that assistance right?!
