Well, I’ll keep this short. Due to an unforeseen disturbance in my sleep schedule (down too late, up way too early) my synapses are not firing on all cylinders today. 🤯

They’re pretty slow. I would’ve needed to sleep in past 7 this morning to make up for the loss of sleep, but circumstances prevented me. Well. I’ll live. Dolarhyde is definitely strange. I grappling with the appeal if you know what I mean.

I haven’t been all that active anyway with original posts, but when I put the effort in I’d like to actually see them in the tag lol. No rhyme or reason to what appears, my latest post has appeared in the tag after a couple or so that didn’t. Having to manually access would be more time consuming, you should be able to rely on the RA tag. 😕

O, I’ve absolutely no problem with the tweet as such. I just wish he made sure that everything’s as he wants it and then tweeted. Look, if I tweet and then delete ten minutes later, it’s no biggie. Chances are nobody will have even *seen* my tweet in that time. His tweet, however, will have accumulated fifty likes and numerous comments in that span of time, all of which he deleted together with his tweet. That must be frustrating for those who commented/liked.

I wouldn’t have even known that he deleted and then tweeted again. The only time I ever witnessed that was the Sarah Paulson Prada Vegas mini movie thing which I thought was sweet that he tweeted it and then it was gone. I had taken Nyquil and thought I was having a delusion or trippy ride…

Nobody who didn’t catch the first tweet would know, but I happened to be on Twitter just then and witnessed the there—gone—there spectacle “live und in Farbe” as we like to say in German.

You’re putting your finger exactly on what hurts – a tweet delete always affects the rest of the conversation, too. Even if it was entirely one-sided.

Exactly. And often it’s not one-sided. Just because *he* doesn’t talk to fans on his thread doesn’t mean fans don’t talk to each other on his threads. And all that goes away when he deletes.

Hence I think he’s rather clueless about Twitter even after 4+ years or doesn’t care or is oblivious to the responses and interactions that COME from his tweets…

Ich glaube nicht, dass er sooo ahnungslos im Bezug auf Twitter ist. Es dürfte ihm eher egal sein, was alles mitverschwindet, wenn er einen Tweet löscht. Da er ja immer so großen Wert darauf legt, dass bei Twitter alle nett zueinander sind, kann ich dieses Verhalten nicht wirklich nachvollziehen, da es alles andere als nett gegenüber denen ist, die bereits darauf reagiert haben.

The beauty of the Popcorn Taxi event was that it was just Richard and the interviewer on the stage. He didn’t have to compete with any other guests for talk time! It still stuns me how incredibly lucky we were to have seen him under those circumstances, there has been nothing else like it before or since. It felt intimate (cinema venue) and he was obviously relaxed and happy to just “chat.”
Besotted, I’m so glad that we Aussies managed to successfully “bring you along” on that wonderful experience! 😁

That’s a very good point, Mezz. And afaik the con set-up will be different, with combinations of two actors each on stage for the Q&A sessions. The advantage of the con, however, is, that it is fan-driven, so there will probably be a lot of questions.
However, Popcorn Taxi was great because the whole atmosphere was so relaxed – which also made RA appear relaxed. And the moderator was great, too. He was casual and funny, and that really set the tone.

I’ve been having Home Thoughts from Abroad ever since I saw that February announcement. It’s a do-able venue for anyone thinking of going – minutes from Heathrow and they have a shuttle bus service from the terminals.
Thanks for the roundup, Guylty. I didn’t think you’d have time to do one after all the goodies earlier on. I lol’d at the ugly sweater Lego version but oh my eyes, that snowman’s nose.

Genau daran hatte ich auch gedacht! Hab nichts dagegen, in diesem Fall alles vom Hals abwärts zu ignorieren. Er scheint selbst aber auch nicht ganz glücklich mit dem Outfit zu sein, so wie er guckt 😉.

Wirklich gaaanz fiese Eigenwerbung 😉. Vielen Dank für den Link, so komm ich hoffentlich nach und nach dazu, alle ooofs mal zu lesen. “Dein” Foto ist allerdings viel besser als das Lego-Bild. Ganz besonders meine Aufmerksamkeit auf sich gezogen hat hier alles, was unterhalb der furchtbaren Strickjacke ist. Da lohnt sich auch der zweite Blick und der dritte und… Natürlich nur, weil die Jeans so eine tolle Farbe hat, ist klar.

Sue, oh he’s soo good in that role. I like the love story aspect of the role but it’s not like you see him doing bad bad stuff. It’s dark but he’s in various stages of undress too and talk about the lean look!! Definitely view it!!

Yeah I get it but he humanizes Francis w Reba and makes him not charming but sweet to her esp when he’s courting her. I found viewing his episodes thru a romantic perspective made it easier for me to get thrubtgem although I would see his episodes again

Hehe, you have put your finger onto it. I enjoy having more free time (you should see my house – the number of floral arrangements has direct-proportionally grown with the added free time 😂) but that is balanced out by the money worry.

Maybe he doesn’t *read* the comments, but his little analytics tool must tell him the number of likes/comments on his tweets and to assume that they are all unilaterally directed @ him saying “Oh Richie, you’re so dreamy” is hubris. And even if, he’s still deleting a bunch of people’s comments. Sorry, I may be grumpy today, but I’m not inclined to cut him a lot of slack on this.

I’m totally giving him all my understanding for deleting the tweets about his mom. That was an extreme situation and he regretted putting that out there. I get that. The rest is just strange and/or careless.
