Sorry for making this a two-post-day, but I have an important update:
Flat Richie not only reached his second destination two days ago, he is also on the road again. Well, or probably in the air again… But let’s go through the update step by step.
So, as you can see, from his first stop over with Kate – which you can read about HERE and HERE – Flat Richie had to cross the big wide ocean all the way to Donna, where he arrived last Sunday. Donna kindly took a few photographs to share with you what she chose from the parcel.
And this is what Donna adds: “I love the photo choices for this calendar. I’m going to enjoy 2019 😍2. I like fridge magnets and loved RA in this photo shoot. 3. The card holder is so neat and has endless possibilities. So there you have it ..with my thanks.

Great choices Donna!!! That’s a beautiful book case and decorations there as well! Enjoy your goodies!!

Thanks Michele and I’m really pleased with my choices. Also, I can’t wait to see who chooses my gift replacements.

Donna yeah I’m still waiting on one prez to arrive and I think I know where in the chain I’m at so I think next Tuesday next destination is perfect and buys me
some time but I’m so happy for you and you are very very efficient!! High bar indeed 👍👏😘

I’m way down on the list, but it looks like it’s going to be criss-crossing over me.

My, Guy is on a whirlwind world tour. Already on the road (to the airport?) again. Safe travels!!

That was quite a trip! And that’s an awesome calendar 😊 This is such a fun idea… I wonder if I’m next? I know I’m an early bird so I’m on tenterhooks! 😘

Wow, that was a fast turnaround. Nice choices. The box must be supersized to fit all those treasures into it.

Really fast turnaround time, indeed. Donna just basically took a day to choose and replace. The bar has been raised 😉
As for the size of the box – I have heard that my original box may actually already have been replaced 😉

Good news, great travel! Thank you Guylty for the two little French glances: world map and fridge turtleneck?

It really was a whirlwind visit but I wanted to get a move on and get the boys back on the road. I did pack everything in a new box for safe travels. At the post office the clerk had me fill out a different customs form and I got so flustered that I found later that I had a typo on the destination city! Argh!! I hope one missing letter won’t be noticed 😥
This really was a delightful experience and I can’t wait for Guy and Richie to land at their next stop. I won’t say where but the target date is next Tuesday. Fingers crossed ❤️

One week, so a very long travel? Great celerity in Florida, you are a great manager!

i wouldn’t worry about a typo-main thing is postcode/zip codes being correct and house number

Don’t worry, it’ll be fine. I once got a postcard from Thailand from a friend who had forgotten his address book. It had my name, the town and Germany. The text to me was “K, greetings from Th. J”
In the address line he wrote “please see explanation ->” and the rest of the space on the card was taken up by him describing the way to my apartment from a popular cafe around the corner. He knew which street that was on because it was the name of the cafe. So after a lot of “walk down towards X and then turn right at store Y” he concluded with “It’s above a carpenter’s workshop. Thanks, postal workers!” Sure enough, the postal workers came through and probably laughed all along the way. 😂

That is a great story, Kate! Good on the postal workers for rising to the challenge 😆

Ah, don’t worry about the typo – Im sure the post office will work it all out, especially if there is also a zip code involved.
And thank you for being so fast with this – the next recipients will be particularly pleased, I am sure… Especially as we are whetting their appetite all the time 😉

No worries it should be fine. And yes, it would have been fun to have them linger here awhile and maybe have some photo ops in my area but I decided getting on to the next destination was a better choice. And honestly the parcel is too fab not to share asap 😊

First up, please don’t ever apologise for posting more than once a day, S! It was a bonus waking up to two notifications in my inbox! 😊 What wonderful little treasures Donna has chosen, and such a fast turnaround. I’d better get my thinking cap on even though my turn isn’t until next year, lol.

Hehe, yes, this is all going faster than I thought.

Jedenfalls bin *ich* wiederum mit meinem “Made for Leather” hochzufrieden.

Qui veut me suivre?

That is such a good point, Squirrel – and a great idea. If you can work out the carbon footprint at the end of the parcel chain, I’ll plant a tree in my garden, too.

I think we will be able to add up all the miles at the end of it… It’ll be impressive, I am sure.
And don’t stress out about your goodies. Always remember that it doesn’t all have to be handmade, or original ideas, or never-seen-before items. Goodies from your town are a fabulous, unique gift, too!

Go Flat Richie, go! I love watching his travels on the map. With criss-crossing the globe like this, that red line will be in a proper tangle before long.
I agree with nordlicht. Donna’s bookcase is like a display in a magazine, and she chooses some great books as well.

It’ll be interesting to work out the total number of miles travelled at the end. And to see how often he circumnavigated the equator, so to speak.
Re. Donna’s bookcase – and a really nice colour scheme, grey and red.

Great news from me! EELV an ecological political party will help me calculate FR’s carbon footprint and convert it to the equivalent of trees to plant. https://eelv.fr/

Great news Indeed. This is such a wonderful idea and it makes me love the project even more. We can add a picture gallery of all the trees and plants in the end!

Sure! But we have to wait until next falls to plant. Now perhaps, we could still dig, the ground is wet. I shall ask my son for calculations help. Tomorrow he will attend a second confirmation interviews (on laptop) for a 5 months’ intership in Tokyo. Finger cross, thanks, you know…!
This afternoon, I felt foolish while trying to explain my deal and who is Radagast.

🙂 The deal would be, an 4 months paid intership to create from A to Z, computer programs, for a new website ( very hard working challenge). Those would help people to find a place to eat at the restaurant, in Tokyo. At the end, he would have one last month left for holidays across the country.
