Just a very quick post from me today. (I am totally snowed under with work. Which is great, because I need the money. But is also stressful and really difficult, and I am panicking that I might not make the deadline next Tuesday *eeeeek*) But I really had to let you know the latest Flat Richie news. I have been informed by Tiny Clanger that he is now on his way to his next stop. In her own words…
With great sorrow, I have today waved the boys off on the Royal (mail) coach with many kisses and professions of love.Guy is looking a bit smug, as he has been given a commission to recruit and train new troops. They are running courses at the Tower of London to become a medieval knight! True! See link hereIn any event, I now have my treasures, which are the fantastic bag with the images of the peaches, roses, chess piece and silhouette, the stickers showing some of Guylty’s fab shrines and the Gisborne-crested notebook with assorted Giz’s on sticks, so he can “keep an eye on me” (runs finger around collar).
So now you know what Tiny has chosen from the never-ending chest of treasures. Unfortunately she was having some problems with the photos on her phone – so they might turn up at a later time. I can tell you, though, that Flat Richie is now travelling eastward… But I am not going to say more than that…
In other news…
The photo grid in yesterday’s picture post turned into a bit of an editing request fest 😂. Someone (coughs) insisted on getting a picture in which RA looks as if he just can’t believe what he is hearing… Well, that’s probably *exactly* what happened. Anyway, I might as well post them here as a post-scriptum.
This could turn into a photo novel… I am sure somebody has the necessary imagination…
I am off to the theatre tonight – not sure when the round-up gets done. Sorry for having missed it for two weeks already…
And lastly
Just a little warning for those of you who follow me on Twitter. Just to apologise in advance to you in case you wonder why I am not replying to any @ tweets or mentions etc. anymore: I am not ignoring you but I have decided to bring my annual social media abstinence three weeks forward and abstain from Twitter for the foreseeable future. I am not becoming a complete recluse though; I will continue to blog and will be available via e-mail, too.
Have fun at the theatre tonight! Please blog what you are seeing, I am going on Sunday to see Richard The Third. I am super excitedDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!
Twitter-well good for you. As one not on Twitter I think it is a wise and healthy choice,. After my stresses of the last few weeks Twitter would have completely decimated me!
Enjoy your weekend and thank you again for all the pics and summaries.

Just back from the show. It was fantastic – again. I know the director ever since she researched for a play in my house. Everything she puts on, is brilliant and different, and tonight was no exception. The play is called “Girls Like That” and explores the dynamics of female friendships/relationships in the 21st century – and in the modern age of technology. It was fab – and an amazing mixture of dance, music, singing, and acting. It directly addressed issues of (cyber)bullying and I was really so pleased that my teenage daughter absolutely loved the play. I had brought her along – yet she is very touchy when it comes to cringeworthy second-hand-embarrassment kind of stuff. But she was totally into this…
So yeah, have just said good-bye to Twitter. I look forward to peace of mind.

Yes, I have spent too much time there, too. It isn’t making me happy at the moment, so it is better if I remove myself from it.
I think I will need to work all weekend…

Very good choices, Tiny! 🙂 I’m happy that you liked the Gisborne notebook and the Giz-on-a-stick set, I had a lot of fun making them 🙂

Hi Ilaria, The Giz’z have been hanging around my daffodils, they are super cute, and I love the notebook! I thought that Daffs were definitely his flower, given the colour scheme of his heraldry 🙂
I have sent a couple of pics to Guilty, xx
