And Now He Has Arrived

13 hours later. I think the plane was slightly delayed. But a dapper and awake Richard Armitage has just arrived in Seoul. A number of Korean fans welcomed him at the airport – and took pictures and videos for us to see. I’ve compiled a Twitter Moment for easier overview. To be added to.

White shirt… blablabla… stubble… blablabla… fresh after 11 hours flying… blablabla… I’ll spare the usual comments. But I’d like to draw your attention to the first video clip in my compilation above, the view of Richard arriving through the doors. Definitely a scene that warms the fangirl heart. Not only does he immediately spot the fans who are waiting for him. Very cleverly done, Mr Armitage – tweeting your exact location and airline meant that fans knew what time you wanted them to welcome you at the airport 😉. But when his driver/translator (?) meets him and wants to whisk him away, he does this:

He indicates to the man that he will first meet and greet his fans. Aw!!!! 😍 Very nice, Richard. After the Tuesday debacle and a temporary cool-down on my part, that has warmed my heart again. He didn’t have to stop and sign – but he did.

Well, let’s see what else we get to see from Korea.

  1. Guylty I think he must have beamed seeing that reception for him. I mean that must have been a great feeling to have fans waitIng for him and he is ever the gentleman well 😉😂
There’s no way even in First Class anyone other the him would look that handsome after a 12 hour flight ✈️

    • Well, he made sure that his fans knew where and when he’d arrive, Michele 😂. I doubt that he was surprised. He practically asked for them to meet him. Jokes aside, I thought it was nice how he not only waved and ran, but he actually told his driver that he’d meet the fans first and then move on. That’s decent of him, and the kind of gesture that we so appreciate of him.
Have no idea whether he is a medical wonder, Michele, but I doubt it. Given the chance (and a sleeping pill), I’d be quite happy to sleep through a night-flight on my First Class comfy chair, to arrive fresh and bright in the morning.

      • A medical wonder 😂😂 love that Guylty!! Sleeping pills maybe but he looked pretty damn handsome and I’m glad he got that warm welcome advertising his flight and all. We all need validation even The Armitage bless his heart! ❤️😉🤗

        • No, he probably doesn’t take sleeping pills. (I would. Just to get my fear of flying under control.) Maybe he uses a eye mask? (I’d love to see that 😂)
Armitage is gorgeous, morning, noon, night, even after a 13 hour flight. Good genes, thanks to dad and mum, makes him look wrinkle-free, face, hands and bum.

  2. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million more times…how can one man be so damn gorgeous? Thank you for this marvelous compilation! Much needed this week.

  3. The boy looks damn gorgeous! I’m lovin’ the longer hair and the stubble. And he’s been on a flight for how long? (I’m not shocked he was nice to his fans. Best to my recollection, he’s always been fan appreciative!)

My nephew is currently in China for 10 days. (well 6 now) and spent 21 hours on his flight from Atlanta to wherever he went. Boy looked damn stoked when he got off the flight! I don’t want to say too much Red Bull….

  4. Thank you heaps for the compilation S, I have been drinking in the sight of him. He looks gorgeous. *sigh* These kind of videos and pics are rare these days, so I don’t have a gripe with him letting fans know what flight he was on. We all reap the benefits! (……….and I’m still wondering why he flew out of France instead of Heathrow)

    • No gripe with him at all, and neither with the fans. It wouldn’t be my kind of thing to wait at the airport, but in the end it benefits us all when others do and share the photos…
Maybe he had to book at short notice and there were no first class seats available anymore from Heathrow?

  5. All the pics and videos are lovely 😊

Tbh, the fact he made it known pretty much which flight he was on..he would know that there would be some fans…thus actually it would be rude not to have said hi, lol.

          • Nah, you‘re not mean at all. And no, I don‘t believe he realised that he was practically sending an invitation to meet him off the plane when he tweeted his Korean Air ad. But I do believe that he is consciously trying to meet his fans.

                • The naive part of me thinks he is so happy right now that all cylinders are clicking that he is spreading the love ❤️ I mean that video he looked very happy to see those fans waiting for him
                  But who knows 😬😙

                    • I’m just rewatching the videos now and I’m happy that he got such a sweet and endearing reception there! That would stroke anyone’s ego ! Maybe for me that he looks healthy and smiling and apart from the tweeting hiccup with his itchy fingers I think he’s at peace right now like he’s moving forward maybe not in all parts of his life but definitely professionally and that makes me happy. Sounds corny I know

                    • There’s nothing wrong with thinking (and wishing) the best. If he had fun with the kind reception in Korea, then that is all that matters. He definitely did not look disturbed or unwilling or annoyed, so yeah, he chose a good place to meet his fans.

                    • I hope it’s ok to ask you this having observed him several times has he looked annoyed or bothered? It seemed even at Sundance he seemed amiable for lack of a better word with the autograph seekers
No sign of the moody anti socialite?

                    • There have definitely been times in the past where it looked as if he considered the encounter with fans at the stage door as a necessary evil. In NY he was more or less on autopilot. A lot of people were very disappointed there…

                    • We’ll see. I had the impression it’s not his cup of tea but he does it for his fans’ sake. What I am trying to say: Please don’t expect too much, Michele. Understandably, when he comes out after the play, he is still half in the head of his character. He was nice and polite, but it was over very soon 🙂

  6. With these photos you are spoiling us, Mr Armitage. (And Guylty too with the compilation)

That painting in his attic must really be feeling the pain these days.

PS Happy Fourth of July to all our American friends..

    • LOL – yep, that’s how I felt about this, too, dreamer… But hey, that’s how it always is. One day he says something stupid, the next day he says something cool. It’s all good. He’s just human.

      • well that’s it, and at least we know he’s not going to suddenly start tweeting positively about Nigel Farage! that would be a bridge too far! lol

      • Yes trur. It really felt like a lover’s tiff! The morning after Judgemental Day I was listening to A N Normal Family and getting irritated by his voice. Today I’m all a tremble hearing it. He is just so stunning I’m oblivious to what he said.

        • “Judgemental Day” LOL. 👍🏻Spot on, dreamer. (I just can’t stand it when Armitage climbs into the pulpit and gives me a sermon from the mount. I found his objections to profanities hollow – coming from someone who has sworn a good bit in his working life himself.)
As for his performance in ANNF – stunning indeed. So much so that I almost found him unsuitable to voice a pastor. But I think that is more a reflection of my own thoughts than his performance… *coughs*)

          • Yes spot on too .AndI know what you mean about the pastor – LOL! ( It’s odd that he
keeps saying ‘ perfectly ordinary family,’ rather than normal, or rather the script does). Although it was actually those breath-taking photos in Korea that knocked me for six and restore my crush – now it’s LibDem Smib-Dem!

    • That was the best bit of the whole short scene. Ha, as I quipped somewhere else, there was Richard, steamrolling out through the gate, and when encountering the driver telling him “Get outta my way, dude, I need to get to my fans.” 🤣

  7. Well done, Korean fans! You got great shots and plenty of coverage for what looked like a 2-minute event. You were prepared and you were on it, representing us well! I’m kvelling over here in NYC. Thank you for posting. We all live and breathe by this world-wide sharing of rare sightings, no exaggeration. We are with you in spirit and appreciate your efforts and time expended. Please keep dogging him if you hear any news about shooting locations, ha ha ha!
