13 hours later. I think the plane was slightly delayed. But a dapper and awake Richard Armitage has just arrived in Seoul. A number of Korean fans welcomed him at the airport – and took pictures and videos for us to see. I’ve compiled a Twitter Moment for easier overview. To be added to.
White shirt… blablabla… stubble… blablabla… fresh after 11 hours flying… blablabla… I’ll spare the usual comments. But I’d like to draw your attention to the first video clip in my compilation above, the view of Richard arriving through the doors. Definitely a scene that warms the fangirl heart. Not only does he immediately spot the fans who are waiting for him. Very cleverly done, Mr Armitage – tweeting your exact location and airline meant that fans knew what time you wanted them to welcome you at the airport 😉. But when his driver/translator (?) meets him and wants to whisk him away, he does this:
He indicates to the man that he will first meet and greet his fans. Aw!!!! 😍 Very nice, Richard. After the Tuesday debacle and a temporary cool-down on my part, that has warmed my heart again. He didn’t have to stop and sign – but he did.
Well, let’s see what else we get to see from Korea.
Guylty I think he must have beamed seeing that reception for him. I mean that must have been a great feeling to have fans waitIng for him and he is ever the gentleman well 😉😂
There’s no way even in First Class anyone other the him would look that handsome after a 12 hour flight ✈️

Well, he made sure that his fans knew where and when he’d arrive, Michele 😂. I doubt that he was surprised. He practically asked for them to meet him. Jokes aside, I thought it was nice how he not only waved and ran, but he actually told his driver that he’d meet the fans first and then move on. That’s decent of him, and the kind of gesture that we so appreciate of him.
Have no idea whether he is a medical wonder, Michele, but I doubt it. Given the chance (and a sleeping pill), I’d be quite happy to sleep through a night-flight on my First Class comfy chair, to arrive fresh and bright in the morning.

A medical wonder 😂😂 love that Guylty!! Sleeping pills maybe but he looked pretty damn handsome and I’m glad he got that warm welcome advertising his flight and all. We all need validation even The Armitage bless his heart! ❤️😉🤗

No, he probably doesn’t take sleeping pills. (I would. Just to get my fear of flying under control.) Maybe he uses a eye mask? (I’d love to see that 😂)
Armitage is gorgeous, morning, noon, night, even after a 13 hour flight. Good genes, thanks to dad and mum, makes him look wrinkle-free, face, hands and bum.

Guylty and Susanna I was just listening to the vids above again and he’s so polite and gracious that is the man his parents raised!! Saying thank you when signing autograph so sincere and humble just touches my heart!
He made a beeline for the fans!! So cute!!
Yeah I took a sleeping pill on a trip to Rome and got sick when we landed 🛬
And he is blessed w good genes!! Among other assets!! 😘😉🤗

Yep, I just watched with the sound on.
Well, Michele, without trying to dampen your enthusiasm (and bearing in mind that I agree he is a stickler for manners and always comes across as very polite), but in fairness – wouldn’t *everyone* say thank you if someone else passes a bunch of flowers? Or react to “Welcome to XY” with a polite “thank you”? It’s what I would’ve expected from anyone – I see it as a reflex, not deliberate politeness.

Guylty yes yes I agree one would hope people are polite in general and especially when given a gift but not everyone is these days ..
and no worries my enthusiasm is in abundance as negative thinking is unhealthy and I agree he has redeemed himself from his Twitter behavior 😉😂❤️

I am happy he is engaging politically as I told Zee but I was shocked at his words and disrespect toward Luisa
I appreciate your kind words but I’m not always a bundle of sunshine esp lately but negative feelings and negative people are toxic and I want no part of either!! 😉😂😘

That’s what I thought. I don’t really think that he is disproportionately polite. He’s a normal, well-mannered man. Possibly a bit more empathetic (as he himself likes to point out) than the average. Given how I perceived him at the SD and at the con, I don’t really think he is any more fan-friendly than any other star. In fact, I think there are other actors who are way more fan-friendly than he.

Yep, I was thinking of him. Or Abrams and Thompson. Another one who really is into it all is Tennant. You should’ve seen him at the SD – he obviously thrived on all the attention. The king of all fan interaction is John Barrowman, though 😁

Oh, and on the subject of Barrowman again – he is just a darling. Married to his husband and openly gay forever. But you should see him flirt with the ladies… He is hilarious! If you have time, check him with “Loose Women” (British talk show by and for women) where he is a favourite guest.
Honestly, you MUST watch this:

I love that he’s out and proud. It doesn’t change anything. Whatever he does with fans is just harmless flirtation anyway. He’s fa-bu-lous.
So, let’s see what this talk show is all about then.

Yep, I only knew him from Dr Who and briefly saw him on Torchwood. Also, I knew that he had written a few children’s books together with his sister, which I read with my kids (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hollow-Earth-1-John-Barrowman/dp/1907151648) But when I did a search for him on YT, I totally fell for his irresistible charm. He is so funny, so upbeat, very cheeky. Not an “untouchable” at all. He just cheers you up. And that is a talent, a gift – but also hard work. I admire that.

Same here, but our little community had their family celebratory fire works last Friday and we weren’t here and I’m not in the mood to drive into Savannah and deal with traffic. When we lived in Brunswick, Spawn and I would take our lawn chairs across the street to the park and watch the Brunswick, St Simon’s and Jekyl Island fireworks and walk back home. However, once years ago, we went to Stone Mountain and it took us over 3 hours just to get out of the park! We were 2 AM getting home and we lived half an hour away – also it was HOT! (July in the South!)
Over here, we pretty much grow up setting off explosive shit. It’s as American as Apple pie!!!

We didn’t want to get involved in WW2. That changed when Japan came to OUR door and blew it down. Of course we had to fight back and in the words of a Japanese General – My God, we’ve woken a sleeping giant. I would much rather our enemies be afraid of us, than not.

Thank you heaps for the compilation S, I have been drinking in the sight of him. He looks gorgeous. *sigh* These kind of videos and pics are rare these days, so I don’t have a gripe with him letting fans know what flight he was on. We all reap the benefits! No gripe with him at all, and neither with the fans. It wouldn’t be my kind of thing to wait at the airport, but in the end it benefits us all when others do and share the photos…
Maybe he had to book at short notice and there were no first class seats available anymore from Heathrow?

Jusqu’à son apparence physique, digne de l’entrée d’un mannequin dans la lumière pour défiler.
Il a avoué sa nouvelle stratégie, lors de ses voeux de 2019: “la communication” à tout va, dont celle avec les fans.

As for his performance in ANNF – stunning indeed. So much so that I almost found him unsuitable to voice a pastor. But I think that is more a reflection of my own thoughts than his performance… *coughs*)
