And now Richard wraps as well. Great selfie of a different kind.

Un effet miroir, ou une étrange mise en abîme, ce procédé est très intéressant.

I love those pictures – where you can simultaneously see what is in front and what is behind. Nice.

Is there a photographic technical word for it?
“Mise en abîme” is when a miror back reflects an other miror, which reflects back an other miror etc….

I have never heard of a specific word for that.

You mean the dwarf, with the elf ears, but a hobbit at heart enjoying going on this adventure as Adam Price?

Nope, that’s not the connection. But a great description nonetheless!

A fun way of taking a selfie. It certainly holds my attention longer than any of the sanitised beauty shots.

The ring really stands out, doesn’t it? And it suits him. (Added plus for German watchers: Due to mirror image the ring appears to be on the right hand…)

Same sort of ring my hubby wears. (Do I want to be reminded of my hubby while perusing pics of Richard Armitage? Hmm.)

La voiture est stationnée sur la partie gauche de la chaussée, c’est l’Angleterre. Il est donc un passager qui n’a pas besoin de tenir le volant. La bague est donc sur la main droite, n’est-ce pas?

Is the novel set in England or in the USA?

UK. They transported the action from the US of the novel, to the UK.

Should he be? Maybe the scene demands him to be driven somewhere?

That sounds fair. He’s been driving me crazy for years.

When I first read this post it was too early in the morning for my brain to be making any connection, but here it is in the evening now, and I still can’t see it!!
The effect of his wearing a wedding ring is way out of proportion for what is merely a small prop, but it makes me feel all fuzzy inside.😍

The connection between my blog title and the photo was a very obscure one. But actually someone on Twitter got it 😉
That wedding ring… it is really amazing what an effect such a small piece of gold has 😉
