How are we all doing? Heart rates back to something approaching normal? We are now entering the last week until birthday week – the calm before the storm? I am using this weekend to get all the final preparations done. Tick off list:
finalise eBay item selectionwrite eBay listings (so that they are ready for copy/paste on the day the auctions start – and yes, I know that I can create draft listings on eBay, but unfortunately only a limited amount)photograph eBay items from all angleslisting texts for Etsy (at least Etsy has no limit on draft items, so those can all be created now, to be published later)photograph Etsy itemsorganise the packaging materials that I have been collecting for monthsmake a few new envelopesdesign thank you cards that will go into the individual packagesfinalise some of my own crafted items for Etsyplan upcoming spotlight postscreate “small print” post- write kick-off post
prepare “milestone” edits
Ha, now that I have written down the list, it feels as if I have already done half the work. I’ll be ticking it off here as I go along – let’s see how much I can get done…
But now, let’s head to tumblr and see what has been going on there this week.

- This looks like a edit of seasons for The Crucible. By crushermyheart
- This piece by the-seas-song on Richard from the perspective of his astrological chart has far too few likes. Read, if you are interested in astrology – and for the huge amount of quotes by Richard that shed light on the way he sees himself. Really insightful!
- TBT ITS and Richard’s notes on Gary, posted by richardarmitagefanpage
- Just a nice gif set by thorinswaggerson of Richard’s best loved chaRActers
- Astrovian paints again. Gorgeous Astrov
- Essential Guy picture post by armitangel-1972
- Riepu10 throws us way back to the extras interview from NS
- Amazing pencil drawing of Thorin by ezkezpez
- Look at that hair 😍. Gif set of Astrov by riepu10
- And in the same strand (see what I did there?), some Thorin hairporn by thewarriorandtheking
- Let’s give Daniel some love, courtesy of a gif set by riepu10
- Guy on the stupidity… by nfcomics
- This one’s even better, also from the What a Guy Wants by nfcomics
13, a lucky number?!
*eeek*, it’s half past 11 and I have gotten nothing done off that list yet. I better get this post out and my ass into gear.
Have a gorgeous weekend, my dears!
Sonja ❤️
This sounds like a full time job, Guylty! If you need any help with anything, I have a little time until Wednesday so let me know.

That is a
long, loooong list. I’m doubly glad now I took some photos myself even if they’re probably not as good as yours would have been. Yell if you need anything. The second file should be ready for you.

Thank you!! All good, and the pictures are fine as they are!!!

i found the astrology tumblr post very interesting and it was really helpful knowing his time of birth for a more accurate star chart. I find it interesting that his ascendant is Leo (something the author doesn’t discuss). Anyway i’m off to read a bit more on his star chart lol

I don’t really know much about astrology, but I do find it fascinating. There is a lot in that post that I found convincingly argued. Let us know if you find out more interesting stuff re. Ascendant etc…

i used to be into it more as a kid, so i still have a little interest and i dont live my life by it!
your asecent/rising sign really is how the word sees you- and his interestingly is also Leo
I like this google fidn!
Are Leo ascendants beautiful?
When it physical appearance, there is no one more beautiful than the Leo rising man or woman. They are tall and well-built with a large body frame. They have a broad body with expressive eyes and an authoritative demeanor. You look generous and energetic which makes people automatically look up to you.

I have a lot of Leos in my life, for some reason, and Richard doesn’t seem to demonstrate many of the traits I associate with them (although obviously I don’t know him – unfortunately!). Perhaps it makes a difference that he was born under the cusp of Leo and Virgo.

Wow, that’s some to-do list. If I can help with anything, let me know, I have time.

That is a long list! Ditto too, if you need any help. And you managed to fit in a great round-up too, thank you, with lots of interesting words as well as pics. By-the Sea-Songs post was really insightful, as you say. Having so many of RA’s quotes together reveal his complexity, insecurities, contradictions and profound thoughtfulness – in both senses. (BTW, clicking one of the sources led me to a Hannibal index, I was unaware of, which has transcripts of both his RD5 Q&As.)

Oh, share a link to that, please?

Okay, I’m gonna be nitpicky here. (Not a criticism of your comment, J., just an observation and info for those reading who are unfamiliar with the Q&As.) That’s not a transcript but a—in parts—quite basic summary of the topics covered. It’s nowhere near verbatim.

Ah, that’ll learn me for not reading it thoroughly.

It seems they lost the plot at some point. Probably too difficult to keep up with their notes. I don’t remember everything exactly, but my question (and the answer to it) for example are one sentence each and they were much longer. And I remember that verbatim. 😉

Remind me, what was your question? (Seeing his chiding remark “I’ve read the book” to my question about John Crane, makes me cringe all over again – and I had bloody well read the book too!)

I asked about so many of his characters dying and if he found it easier to leave a character behind when they die or when they get to ride off into the sunset.

Haven’t checked the links yet, but here’s a quick link to my recap (and actually quite a bit of verbatim) from the Saturday Q&A https://guylty.net/2019/02/07/strung-out-and-hung-on-a-chain-ras-qa1-at-rdc5-part-3/ and this is the Sunday panel https://guylty.net/2019/02/13/a-moment-leaping-out-from-the-dark-ras-qa2-at-rdc5/

I’m trying hard not to let this event get by me this year. Besides work keeping me hopping, (nothing new really) my nephew is getting married. Soooo I’m trying to get enough work done and prepared so I can leave town for a week or so the end of this month. Still, I don’t want to neglect all the fun things you’ve put together this year. And how exciting to have Sir Guy’s original leather jacket on offer!
⚔️
Loved the vids you’ve made too.
