2022 Armitage Weekly Round-up #10

The weekend has begun and I am not quite where I want to be. Work-wise. I have a bit of a list of projects that I have to tick off, but instead I spent the morning chatting with our friend from Ukraine. Well, he‘s not *from* Ukraine but he used to work there. I mentioned him a couple of weekends ago when he stopped by on his way to Cuba. He has now returned from his holiday and is stopping over here again. He brought back a gift for our leftie household, maybe you can spot it in the picture below.

Instead of working on my projects, I ended up refreshing our picture gallery… Priorities…

And now on to the round-up.

  1. Scmethinginlatin has customised a Funko Pop into Lucas North. I love it!
  2. Dark and broody Guy courtesy of riepu10
  3. Apparently Thorin has opened a Royal Ask Box 😂. Lathalea has been chosen as the scribe to answer the questions. A fun read
  4. Staying with Thorin, here is a giffed scene from the movies, proving that RA hasn‘t lost his dancing mojo. Posted by lordoftherazzles
  5. A gorgeous gif of Dr Alec Track in profile by iviasha
  6. I still haven‘t caught up but Damaged Goods by middleearthpixie is now on ch 46
  7. 😂 A nice little joke edit of Thorin by thewarriorandtheking. Could also apply to RA himself
  8. Have you met Mr Thorinton yet? Edit by thewarriorandtheking
  9. I love these kinds of gifs where a static picture has been overlaid over a gif. Made by riepu10
  10. Yeah, typically What a Guy Wants… by nfcomics
  11. Have we had this kissing compilation by achrisevansandrichardarmitagefan already? If so, not sorry. It‘s mandatory viewing

There, I can return to my list now. It is actually a fandom related thing, but 🤐 I am not ready to disclose it yet. However, watch this space!!! There‘ll be an announcement very soon, possibly-hopefully tomorrow.

In the meantime, enjoy your weekend!

Sonja ❤️

the mandatory #11 is unfortunately not accessible to non-tumbler-users but at least I have a good imagination 😉

    • A lot of them are made by family – my father in law, my daughter, my husband. A photo that I took, the James Joyce graphic is by a friend of mine. This is the „spring selection“ ☀️

  2. I love the gift. Very good choice!!

Riepu‘s gifs are gorgeous, as always. That statistic/dynamic one is especially mesmerizing.
Oh, that Alec Track snippet. 😍Le sigh. I might have to rewatch that.

  3. Great, fun, round up, thanks Guylty. I loved Mr Thorinton and Thorin’s Royal Ask Box. This got me imagining him as an agony aunt, ‘Dear Auntie Thorin …’! And kissing Richards is a wonderful set to end with.

    • Oh goodness, Thorin as agony aunt. Hahahaha. I wonder whether he‘d have the patience for something like that. I picture him as a real grump, thinking that all the people who are writing in with their grievances, are just numpties 😂

  4. Hey G ☘️ still have snow ❄️ here but it is March.

First, what a great idea to change around the art on your wall.

Don’t think I could do that in my house. Not including the fact that most walls have art from ceiling to floorboards. That would be all I ever did, change the art 🖼 on the walls. Still, it is an awesome idea.

    (1) Cute Funko

    (2) Dark Broody Guy . . . I’m always into him.

    (9) Static image over gifs is way cool. Always like those and they are a great (fresh) way to present images some of us have seen a whole lot, but never get tired of looking at. Not that I’m naming names. HaHa

Thanks for including me on your list again. Thrilled you find any of them funny. Even if they tend to be the lines I steal, (or make note of when I can) from the hubs lips, er . . . inspired mouth . . . brain? Wherever he gets those naughty quips.

Men! They’re distracting trouble no matter which way I look at it. 😄

    • Grah, snow… We have no snow but it is really cold here. Too cold for March, I mean.
Sounds great that you are having art all over the walls at home. No need to change that! I have to say, though, that this picture ledge set-up is really good. It makes it so easy to change the art on display.
And hehe, yes, I *always* look at your posts. I snigger about many of them, but prude that I am, usually only include the slightly less naughty ones 😉

      • I really do like the tasteful way your wall ledge looks. Plus the ease of changing the art when you want, well that is so smooth!

If I ever want to move anything, I have to blow the inch of dust off first, (I’m a lousy domestic) then see if I have room for whatever it is and if the nail and frame will work together. Frequently they do not. Then hubs wants to know where that piece I removed is and if/where/ when it is going back up. (He loves his art as much as I do.)

Your system is much more efficient.

No worries on passing up the naughty ones. If you only knew how many I never even consider using.
Example: “like a boot stuck in mud, only wetter.” For some reason I still remember the context it references. You don’t want to know.🤦🏻‍♀️
