Today is the first day of the fan-led “Armitage Summer Splash” event. I linked to the announcement in the last round-up: Initiators Lathalea and Fizzyxcustard are posting daily prompts for every week in June, as a way of bringing creativity and Armitage appreciation together. Anything is possible in response to the prompts – fics and ficlets, art and sketches, drabbles, moodboards, gifsets, you name it. You can challenge yourself to do one every day, or you can dip in and out and create a response to any prompt that speaks to your creativity. Read more about the event HERE.

Anyhow, I decided to take part – and initially found it hard to create a response to the items on the prompt list. But I delved into the hashtag #Armitage Summer Splash today and read Lathalea’s submission. And *then* the inspiration hit me, too. So my submission is actually more of a response to Lathalea’s ficlet, not sure if that counts. Have a read of her fic “Little Bird” before you continue reading my post. I really enjoyed her story…

The cover lid of the RAPS was an experiment. I needed to incorporate the quote and decided to try out my new heat foil pen. Hence the wobbly hand-writing 😂. It was meant to look a bit medieval *coughs*. Anyway, I left the original mint tin design untouched, and if you have read Lathalea’s story, you know why… Peppermint kisses… On we go inside…

While Guy is the hero of Lathalea’s story, she has invented an OC for her ficlet. You can see her over Guy’s shoulder. I gave her red hair, as mentioned in the fic. And Guy is pondering the golden question… Did we make a mistake?

I decided to challenge myself to use up some of my pre-printed pictures for the Summer Splash, and hence I have included caged Guy… Just because he is the prisoner of “Robinette’s” heart…
