Hello and welcome to a little contrast programme for all those who are not interested in the pomp and circumstance of today’s coronation festivities that are dominating the news not just in the UK but almost everywhere in the world. I confess, I did look into the service just now for just a few minutes because it *is* a historic event. I have a mild interest in it because my father-in-law, although Irish through and through, sang at the coronation of the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. He was a 16 year old schoolboy in Westminster School and as such part of the Westminster Abbey Choir.
But enough of that. Here is the aforementioned contrast programme, aka Tumblr round-up.

- Leglolasbadass’s Professor AU Office Hours is at chapter 25
- Riepu10 has made gifs from the little audio book bts of Richard reading the Pa Salt book
- Some interior design p0rn of the Obsession set: the flat where Anna and William commence their affair. Posted by richardarmitagefanpage
- Looks like the printed edition of Geneva will come with a full page picture of the author… *coughs* interesting. Posted by lucyfishwife
- A fight scene from Man from Rome, giffed by frrutherford
- A Thorin one shot by fizzyxcustard
- A very suave Father Quart giffed by riepu10. You know, the first gif *without* the dog collar is quite nice
- A meme-worthy What a Guy Wants by nfcomics *yawns* 😉
- The Hobbit and text posts by i-dont-know-anything-anymore
Oh, oops, that’s a short one. Looks like we have to go back to watching the coronary… eh… coronation. To beef up this post, here is the bts clip shared by publisher Pan Macmillan on YT, Richard reading an excerpt from Atlas.
Say what you will, I love hearing RA’s voice. That mixture of gravel and velvet just gives me the goosebumps. In a good way!!! So I am looking forward to this audio book, although I am miffed that it is the last book in a series of eight. Hmph. Should I read all the Seven Sisters beforehand in order to get the most out of book 8? Where do I find the time for that??? Has anyone read the series?
Enjoy your weekend, lovelies!
Sonja ❤️
Are you a member of your local library?. They have an audiobook app called borrow box and I have listened to the first two books in the Seven Sisters series. It’s free but some books not available straight away.

That is a great reminder to go and renew my library membership. (Ha! An leabharlann – I remember the Irish word for it 🇮🇪 😉) Thanks for the suggestion, Deirdre. I will do that!

On the Seven Sisters series, Harry Whittaker (OG author Lucinda Riley’s son) posted a video synopsis of the story thus far — https://tinyurl.com/t8rh8w8x Although very basic, it did provide enough context that I won’t be *completely* lost when I listen to Pa Salt. And, as you say, any excuse to hear Rich’s voice. 😁

Ah, thanks for the tip, Lou. That sounds like a good idea. At least it would provide some context before hearing the last in the series.

Unashamedly I enjoyed watching the Coronation yesterday it was worth taking a day off from replacing floorboards. I love how we are second to none in doing ‘pomp and circumstance’. Our armed forces drilling together would have made my dad proud – he was a Sargent major. Enough about that Richard’s profile is so high at the moment I hope that he’s dripping in work or in the shower-oops.

I ended up watching a great chunk of it, too. Even though I neither live in the UK nor am British, it was a historic moment, and I was curious about the whole ceremony. And as a historian, the ancient ritual really touched me. Not to mention the logistics of it all.
Yeah, it was great seeing so much of RA in the news recently. I hope it’ll bring him new opportunities.

I’ve read the Lucinda Riley’s books and I love them. I usually am not very fond of romance books, but hers are very good, I read them all and I was very sad when she passed. I can’t wait to read the last one in the series (and to have it read by RA is a special treat)

That is great to know, Ilaria. I’m glad that the series is a good one. What a special treat for you indeed, since you knew the previous books already!
