It appears that congratulations are in order.
As usual, if it weren’t for automated reminders, I would miss my anniversaries. I am always amazed when I see sentimental posts on Twitter, celebrating “four years ago I saw The Crucible for the first time” or “this day five years ago I was at The Hobbit premiere”. I am remarkably unromantic and thoughtless in that respect. Heck, I can’t even remember my own wedding day. In case of the WordPress blogiversary, my lack of awareness is exacerbated by the fact that I didn’t really start blogging on guylty.net right then and there. It was simply a case of “I need a WordPress login, let’s set up a blog”. Hence my first post was this. Wow. That’s utilitarian… And regular blogging didn’t start (on my own blog) until January 2014. But for the administrative foundation day, let’s take this as my anniversary.
As always, I take tearfully to the stage to express my thanks to my wonderful audience, without whose engagement and comments this blog would not be possible. I thank my long time mentor and blogging role model Servetus for giving me the platform for my first steps in blogworld, and I take a bow to all my fellow bloggers – still active or currently dormant – who have helped me to grow and to find my own niche. Thank you to Richard Armitage for providing never-ending opportunity to objectify… ooops… discuss him, to Audible for tiding us over droughts with countless audio projects, to Belstaff for Richard’s fantastic leather jacket collection, to the unnamed sock manufacturer for the brightest airport appearance ever, and to anyone who has ever read this blog. I’d like to dedicate this anniversary to Richard’s left nipple in recognition of the invaluable support it has lent to Mr Armitage’s career.
Congratulations!
I just posted a comment on your previous topic about a Hannibal convention at Heathrow airport next year the suggestion is that the Red Dragon will be there!
Sorry about exclamation points but this is shocking lol

I just saw that and replied… It is shocking indeed. OMG. Heathrow airport will not be big enough to receive all the fans… LOL

Aw, you are far too flattering, Michele.
Nope, no reason to celebrate here :-D. They probably curse the day I signed up for another blog *haha*

Lots of reaction on the previous post I have just caught up.
I haven’t turned to drink but I have very mixed and sad thoughts. I can’t believe he is taking all these small jobs to be nearer his family .
Oh dear, I have had a brilliant time following him and done things and been places just because of him (New York ) but this is a step too far.

Yve, that sounds as if you are saying good-bye. I hope I am misreading you.
I hear you re. his con participation, particularly considering that he once said he wasn’t going to do that sort of thing. Well, we all change, and in a way I *do* understand that his priority may be to be close to his family at the moment. However, I can’t imagine that he will become a regular on the con circuit…

Yeah, I’m seriously wondering whether he shows his age by typing with his index finger – or whether he has trained himself in thumb-typing for the hip, youthful lool 😁

Your anniversary is only one day off the very day I sat in my dark living room watching North & South for the first time, not knowing I would stay up ’til 3:00 a.m. to see the whole 4 hours in one sitting, or that there was a world-wide batch of wonderful fanwomen out there waiting for me to find them. Oh the memory…such joy!!!

For you Michele I add this little pseudo-scientific-prehistoric mess stuff:
According to Wikipedia the Iron Age began around 700 BC. AD with the arrival of the Celts in Ireland from Great Britain. A few of these human beeings came from “Germania” (haplogroupe R1b (Y-ADN))
I have unmasked, identified you Guylty as a celtic druidess. Heiress and guardian of traditions in Richard Armitage’s fandom, in charge of education, justice through your blog and worship using shrines, For six years you have been enlighting our lives, so keep on writing!

I willingly identify with “Radagast”. Previously on Servetus’ blog, I had described myself as a salt and pepper hair’s woman, never well-dressed (wearing then a fair jacket made in Poland with organic wool), passionate about natural sciences in all its forms (mushrooms, flowers …) and healthcaring through my profession.

Radagast loved living things and his love and compassion for them in The Hobbit movies I saw (confess haven’t seen LOTR trilogy yet aghast I know) was so endearing and he was the savior for them in the beginning of their journey! You are all knowing and so uplifting !!😘💗
