Dear Friends-in-RA,
do you have any idea how special you all are? And how special you have made me feel at a time when I needed an extra amount of love and support? You have made me very happy with all the beautiful messages and e-mails. I don’t want to repeat myself over and over again, but I just want to take the opportunity and express my thanks to everyone who donated to the charity chosen by my mother and myself and to ChildLine or any other of RA’s JustGiving charities on the occasion of my dad’s passing. I am overwhelmed and can hardly believe the number I saw today on Obscura’s post on AncientArmitage. I have seen all the donations on JustGiving (including a number of independent donations dedicated to me – thank you very much) and I have also been passed the information from the German charity. It is really amazing, and I feel somehow very humbled by your extraordinary generosity – not sure if I am worth it (and this is *not* a haul for compliments!!! So no contradictory comments, please!).
One last time I would like to say that your support has meant a lot to me – and the memory of it will continue to mean a lot to me in the future. You have proven that compassion and friendship goes beyond the anonymity of the internet. And you have also proven yourselves to be an extraordinary group of people. I thank RA again for attracting such wonderful people. (Hope he appreciates you all as much as you deserve!!!) And I repeat – the RA is being rivalled by his own fandom.
