So sad. The autumn of love love love is definitely over. And I have not managed to write a review of the play… oh dear. Let’s concentrate on nicer things. I have a raffle winner to announce. Yesterday’s playbill-and-countdown-calendar combo goes to… Zeesmuse. Congratulations! Finally all those exhaustive comments have been good for something 😉 Please send me your new address which I still haven’t got (to guylty(at)photographer(dot)net) and I will put your prize in the post today. I’ll be carrying a whole load of mail to the post office, anyway, with the last few prizes and a heap of Christmas cards going into the post. Thank goodness, Perry is helping out with the postage costs for the raffles, so thank you to her!
~*🎄*~
And now to day 7 of the lot. An old faithful…
1 framed photograph of RA
This is one of my favourite own photographs of Richard – taken 2015 in Leeds. Wide smile – who doesn’t have to grin when you see the picture? A true mood enhancer. It comes in a white box frame – but the bling and the heart are not part of the package 😉 They are just to distract from the fact that I took that picture in artificial light, hence the discolouration. The frame is actually true white. If you would like to win this framed photograph of Richard, please leave me a comment below. You have 23 hours, until 7am tomorrow, 20 December 2016.
~*🎄*~
Once again our dear Hariclea is throwing a bag of Thornton’s chocolates into the raffle. The winner will receive both frame and chocolate. I will have to pass on the address for that, hope that is alright.
~*🎄*~
Also, thank you for answering my little poll from Saturday’s round-up post, re. another colour variation of my chaRActer fabric design. You have been most helpful. Because I would have soooo chosen baby pink, but turns out, that is really not the favourite colour, but sky blue. Followed up by “other” – with suggestions ranging from black via purple/lilac to greens. Hm. In-te-res-ting. I’ll keep that in mind.
I have, however, resolved to make an entirely new design. Or two, actually, because we have enough chaRActers to work with. I’ll stick with the RA silhouette as the recurring theme in the designs, the rest of the symbols will be my little secret, all to be revealed when I have my new fabric designed and printed. However, maybe you would like to help me with a couple of suggestions for symbols. I know most of them, but I haven’t yet settled on something for a) Proctor, b) Chop and c) Kenneth. Note: Drugs 🚬 and weapons 🔫 are no option 😉
~*🎄*~
Right, then, here is the Recap and small print: Raffle for 1 framed photograph + Thornton’s chocolate, open to all until 7am GMT Dec 20, 2016. The raffle items will be sent anywhere in the world, no P&P costs either. The winner’s address will be passed on to Hariclea to facilitate despatch of the chocolate. To enter the raffle, just a leave a comment below. Winner to be announced in Day 8 post of 12DX, tomorrow.
~*🎄*~
Love and best of luck to you all!
Congratulations, Zee! As for the fabric designs, would you consider including Standring in the mix? He’s still the sweetest man Richard’s played. #prettyplease

Awww, i am so partial to those photos!! Not putting name in though 🙂 I love the one i have and i have been smiling back at it a lot. I am feeling really sad today because the play ended. More than i thought i would. Shouldn’t surprise me really because i am so partial to his stage work 🙂
I think the scarf would be a good one for Proctor 🙂 Or the whip :-p but i think scarf is more Proctor 😉 And Chop i was going to suggest a spiff but since you don’t want thaaaat either a book because he loves books and reads to the kids or a chess piece 🙂 Kenneth – a record/vinyl, of course! 🙂
And please no Hannibal on it.. i loved what he did with the character but somehow it just seems to gruesome .. or maybe we can find something redeeming around Reba .. but still i would always have to think of the other side as well, brr… nope, for some reason i only want fuzzies on the pattern 🙂
Been sad also looking at the calendar , i bump into it every morning and ever since i turned to December i already miss having it there and turning another page! I need to get my sh.. together and gather some photos and order myself one for next year, i need to have it there when i get back in Jan! Otherwise what will i smother in lipstick whenever i fancy? 😉
LikeLike
Thanks for your suggestions – they are great. I had forgotten about the whip. Hm, does that count as a weapon? The dark scarf may be a safer option… I also had a chess piece for Chop on my list (because that spliff is definitely off limits), so that’ll be it then. And of course – Kenneth needs a record! Damn, how could I forget that. Procul Harum *LOL*. Dolarhyde – ok, I take your point. But I don’t really want to ignore him. For me, he actually was one of RA’s finer acting moments. I really enjoyed what he did with that character, even though Dolarhyde was creepy as hell. But I could actually keep him off the design that has Proctor on it – that case, at least he won’t tarnish the design for *you* 😉
As for end of LLL – yeah, kind of sad. And yet, I must admit I am also ready for the next step. 3 months is a long time, however good a performance may be, and at some stage things become repetitive, both in terms of promo, as well as in terms of SD.
LikeLiked by 1 person
yes, if we only knew what the next step was!! :-)) But i think he’s done exceptionally well with LLL, i will dwell on it for a while longer i think, at least until i feel i can drool no more about his acting in it ;-)))
Procul H.. LOL it always sounded to me like something odd 🙂
And ok i actually agree o Dolarhyde… i am trying to think of something that will bring out his human side ad which would work, i am sure we can come up with something! The one thing that will always make me smile about poor Dolly is him lifting Reba and stomping off to his bedchambers…or him doing a runner round the house in those tighties :-p Maybe that martini glass in the process of spilling/breaking? Cryptic enough and at least the beginning of something new and human and nice for him, never mind it was a bit short lived 🙂 I think for that one evening he felt like a human being who is loved 🙂
LikeLike
I was also thinking of the key he had around his neck, but then we have already had a key for Thorin… The breaking Martini glass is interesting, too. Hm. Also I also like the idea of a tiny red dragon…

As for the fabric, hmmm, how about a bible or pitcher & basin for Proctor and Chop’s hat? Not sure about Daniel… maybe his bicycle?

I see your point re. bible but I think I’ll keep the religious imagery off, for political correctness. Chop’s hat is a great idea – a porky pie… And Daniel already has something assigned to him, although I find the bicycle idea really good!

My humble suggestions for the fabric:
Proctor: I Iike the scarf idea already mentioned but maybe add the pea coat and make it a combo?
Chop: Moving truck
Kenneth: Drinks wine in every scene so a wine glass? Or just this ❤️X3
Oh and if you do decide to put dolly in at some point why not simply the symbol of the red dragon? 🀄️ (Just please no teeth) 😬
LikeLiked by 1 person
The moving truck!!! “Man with a Van”!!! That’s a great one, Donna, yes.
And you have got it – the red dragon symbol is what I had initially planned for the original design. I left it out because the red colour didn’t work with the rest of the design. 🀄 it is.

I would like to make a proposal too, for Chop maybe a bottle of beer ( if beer is counted to drugs, I prefer also the idea with his hat. For Dolarhyde a little dragon, for Kenneth a piece of cake with 3xhearts and for Daniel a mobile phone because there are lots of pics with a phone on his ear. And for Standring nothing else than sheeps!
