Armitage Weekly Round-up 2019/2

Hello hello hello everyone. Not at the usual 8am slot today but a little bit later. I got a little bit sidetracked today. When I opened my tumblr, I was immediately taken to my review queue. Yes, guylty on tumblr has also caught the unwanted attention of the sex police. Apparently some of my content is “adult”. 😂 Oh cod, could that possibly be because I *am* an adult???

Seriously? What is “adult” about that? The hairy armpit on show? I mean, honestly, this kind of body-hostile censorship is just ridiculous, tumblr.

Anyway, there is a lot of crap flagged in this review queue, and I spent a while going through it and asking for a manual review (by a human!). Unsurprisingly, my requests for appeal were actually heeded, and the content is online again. But yeah, if harmless stuff like mine is getting flagged, it is no wonder if tumblr will eventually fold… Nevertheless, today was a good haul. Here, see for yourself:

  1. Ok, a NSFW fan fic prompted by Richard’s latest ski selfie!!!! After being a bit critical of ra-of-light last week, I am putting her top of the list this week. This RPF gets all my approval. Well-written, no grammar mistakes (sorry, I know that’s silly on my part, but bad grammar is one of the reasons why I don’t recommend more fan fics), and a stringent, exciting story. However – real person fiction! So if you can’t deal with that – don’t read!

Anyway, if you still have some capacity for a bit of RA love, then I am finishing this round-up post with a recommendation. I was joking somewhere in a post recently that some of the unresolved issues of BS could be resolved in fan fiction. Someone asked me whether there actually *is* any Daniel Miller fan fiction. I didn’t know – but I checked. And I found a piece of Daniel Miller fan fic on AO3 that I read enthusiastically and really liked. It’s a story set post S2, and the main characters are Daniel and OFC. I enjoyed the story – which contained smut but wasn’t entirely focussed on the smut but wove a proper spy story around the relationship. The story is called Totally Chemical  and if you go and read it, make sure you leave a comment and/or at least click “kudos” for the writer, Abiwim. (Abiwim actually has other RA related fan fics there, too, so I’d wager that you can fill an evening or two with her prolific output…)

    I”m going to flag my email for this. Spawn and I leave for the Interior – I’m HOPING – within the hour. Chances however it will be closer to 2 hours because a) he’s still in bed and b) we’ve not packed. ESH!!! At least I have something to look forward to tonight when I get set up.

    • Please do check it out. I am quite picky when it comes to fan fiction, but this one did pass muster. Plus, it was not too long but could be read in one go 😉

  2. OH forgot Tumblr went back on me 5 and 6 years and flagged a BUNCH of crap. This is really bordering on the ridiculous. I challenged every one of them and won most. I’m still being followed by porn blogs… hello??? They just need to rename themselves ‘Tumblr for Tots’…

    • It’s completely ridiculous, I agree. I mean, some of the flagged stuff is reblogs, anyway, so it’s not my problem. But many of the other posts were harmless.
      Tumblr for tots LOL – Or Tedious Tumblr.

    • Indeed, Grati – I don’t get it either. But well, Tumblr and its new “no nipple policy”… It would be such a pity if that meant that all the funny, creative and original posts from Tumblr were to end…

        • “female presenting” – that is just such a stupid expression *arrrrrgh*. Honestly, I mean, I am not even that busy and active on tumblr anymore, but this kind of quasi-PC bullshit just really annoys me.

          • Think of it this way. By using male-centric notions of objectionable stuff, they are turning Tumblr into a porn site for us. Female-presenting nipples do nothing for me except that I think “put on a shirt.” Those two nipples in that photo above, oh my, they do something to me. Bring on more male nipples!

  9. I wanted to add after reading #1 a few times I like the visuals so much: modern, sexy and smart and I think Alice is a lucky girl to have Richard cold hands and hard attentive to her needs !!
    Very well done and I hope there is more to come!!
