Guy’s Jacket – Guylty reports from the inside. 😂
I think it’s easiest if I just *show you*. (Warning – total amateur, wobbly video!)
You asked, I answer. The hooks are pretty sturdy, making sure the jacket doesn’t open when in action. The snap buttons at the waist are still really tight, so don’t open easily, either. It’s a quality piece, I’m tellin’ ya!

He must have taken it on and off hundreds of times… If it were mine, I’d be playing with those clasps all the time. I love the way they snap…
My cat (called Jag) is really annoying me at the moment. Sitting beside me in a threatening manner and miaowing… Not sure what he wants – I fed him at lunch time. Such a bully 😂

Thank you for another funny video! Well done! Now, seeing *that* pic, I wonder if the material is somehow stretchy. The trousers probably are, but is the jacket as well?
Plus, the trousers apparently needed some especially stretchy part, or maybe needed to be extended, or repaired ;-))))

No, not stretchy. Looks (and smells) like real leather to me.
Haha, no idea about the trousers. I guess those inserts were more to take a lot of horseback riding into account, chafing on the saddle?

I blame it all on the questions I get asked, Esther 😁. Mind you, you won’t see me hugging, cuddling or even modeling this jacket. That would probably turn everyone off this gorgeous piece 😂
Ah, I’m glad it is discernible that the tattoo is a camera. From the day it was done (basically my 50th birthday – 💡: should we sponsor RA to get a little 🎭 symbol tattooed onto a significant body part? JK), I have been slightly unhappy with the fat lines. The tattooist claimed that any thinner and the tattoo would fade in a few month’s time. I regret that I didn’t insist on what *I* wanted, but let a *man* bulldoze over my wishes. Meh.

Yeah, I don’t think it is pleather. It smells like leather imo, also has the feel of it. Inside it is lined, though. Haven’t inspected whether the lining has come off anywhere and thus lets me see the backside of the leather.

Love this. I’ve been trying to find those clasp on the sites that sell charms and metal decoration for jewellery and crafts, but I never found them. Instead I found many charms shaped like Vaisey’s ring.

I have Vaisey’s jewellery XD The bird shaped ring was kinda cool. I have one of those charms in my purse. I wonder if that bird has a meaning, I found them a couple of times at medieval fairs.

Thank you for the vid, Guylty, it is fascinating to see how well it was put together, not least as a costume piece for a TV drama. It looks so surreal to see you handling The Jacket and I wouldn’t blame you if you did cuddle it or try it on etc. Interesting that it appears to be leather. (I think your cat must have detected the previous owner’s animosity towards felines!)

Haha, it also *feels* surreal to be handling it, after having ogled the jacket (ok, or rather its wearer) for years… It’s also a fascinating glimpse into film-making, in a way.

Ich habe mich auch schon gefragt, wie die Jacke aufgeht 😂. Danke für das Video. Ist die Jacke schwer? Manche Lederjacken können so richtich schwer sein, bei der scheint es das nicht so zu sein.
Vielen Dank auch für die früheren Informationen zu den Fotos von Robert Ascroft. Ich stimme dir zu, dass RA auf ihnen besonders gut abgelichtet wird. Ich mag die Fotos sehr. Deine Fotos sind auch toll, z.B. das mit der Landschaft mit den Wolken unnd dem Gras, an dem man so schön erkennen kann, dass es windig ist. Die Farben sind drauf so frisch und man hat den Eindruck, dass man bis zum Horizont in das Foto hineinblicken kann. Ich hoffe, dass du jetzt nur für euch privat auch ein paar Fotos von Master Guylty in der Guy´s Jacke schießt 😊. Das muss du unbedingt machen. Es wird dir sicherlich auch dreifach so viel Spaß machen wie sonst.
Das kleine Fotokamera-Tattoo war schon auf dem ersten Video gut erkennbar 😊 😊 Schade, dass Richard dein erstes Video nicht von den Dreharbeiten zu Stay Close sich hätte ansehen können. Ich bin mir sicher, dass er diese Idee sich aufschnappen würde 😊 Viel Spaß bei Fotos schießen.

Nein, besonders schwer ist sie m.E. nicht. Ich habe sie jetzt noch nicht gewogen, aber auf RA’s original Paket stand als Gewichtsangabe 3kg. (Ist aber wahrscheinlich leichter als das.)
Hehe, ja, ein paar Fotos mit Master Guylty in der Jacke gibt es schon – allerdings nur zu Anschauungszwecken. Er fand es zwar witzig, ein Filmkostüm anziehen zu dürfen, ist aber ansonsten eher unbeeindruckt *haha*

Thank you for the show and tell of the jacket. From the looks of the jacket the leather looks really soft…like butter. Loved hearing your cat meow, at first, I thought it was my cat….lol. I told Mr. Masini about the jacket and the auction, he wanted to know how much I was going to bid? Lol. So, I can bid?

Love the “inside” information about Richard’s Sir Guy of Gisborne jacket! Thanks for sharing! And dare we ask if you received the full leather suit–including the trousers? If his Dwarven prosthetic fingers were “so disappointing” as Thorin, I would imagine the period lacings on his Sir Guy trousers might have engendered a similar reaction from him–especially if the lacings knot wouldn’t come undone. What he endures for his art! Ha!

Beim großen Reveal hab ich nur gedacht UFF!!! Ich meine, es war meine erste spontane Idee, dass es Guys Jacke sein könnte, aber so wirklich geglaubt habe ich es nicht, dass die Spende so groß ist.
Schade, dass du so weit weg bist – ich echt würde ich das Ding doch gerne mal sehen. Tja.
Ich bin verdammt gespannt, was die Jacke einbringt! Ob sie wohl an jemanden gehen wird, der hier sozusagen bekannt ist, oder an einen komplett fremden Fan …? Spannend! 🙂

Hehe, Sadist – ich glaube, er hat sich darüber keine Gedanken gemacht, ob das evtl. ne Nummer zu groß für uns ist. Aber passt schon – ich mag es, immer mal wieder vor eine Herausforderung gestellt zu werden. UNd letztlich ist es auch ein Vertrauensbeweis von ihm – Vertrauen in unser Vermögen, das tatsächlich gebacken zu kriegen. (Höhö, und in unser Vermögen 💰😉)
Ich bin auch schwer gespannt, wohin das gute Teil gehen wird. Und ob der/diejenige das hinterher auch öffentlich kommentieren möchte.
