Nobleman Indeed… New Article Drops

This is much easier to write about than my thoughts about SC. (Currently five episodes in. I only wanted to watch 2, maximum 3 episodes last night but then continued on with 4 and 5 until 1am hit me and I had to give up…) A new article about Richard has dropped. It is from The Nobleman, a luxury lifestyle magazine directed at men. The article is available online, so I won’t screenshot it. Read it HERE.

There is nothing new in there (except, possibly, Richard’s admission that London is his favourite city 🎉), and the circus chestnut makes its miserable return, but you know me, I am much more interested in THIS below, anyway.

All images by Kaitlyn Mikayla – as thankfully pointed out by Richard when RTing the article on Twitter. Nice work, Richard, supporting a (“fellow”) photographer this way. Cos I had looked for the credit and not found it on the article – really frustrating because even if the pictures were bought by the mag or possibly commissioned by them, they should credit the originator imo.

Anyway, magnolia has never looked so good!!!

I feel some *ooof*s coming on…

Oh, and here is a fifth one from the series, apparently now used by RA as his Twitter profile pic. (Not my favourite 😬 – the most contrived of the lot, if you ask me. But that’s a subjective opinion. I’m glad to know he feels represented truthfully in that picture.)

The watch is still in business…

Oh man, I am distracted now…

    • Agree with the latter. I am quite surprised how nice I find that look on him. I mean, I always prefer him casual, but this is quite a styled casual look, so I was surprised how nice I find it. Very Cuddlitage!
The crinklitage may be first class – but in general is Geschmacksache 😉. I find it amusing and relatable. But definitely not flattering.

  1. Probably he choose the last pic to higlight the nice sweater. It looks so… soft… and… cosy ~ conspicuously drooling ~ staring off into space ~ sighing ~ regaining her composure.
I’m around 5th episode too. Actually I need to watch Coben’s things twice in order to appreciate all the intricacies, but I already dislike the tattoos.

    • LOL, highlighting the sweater 😂. True.
But no, seriously, I just think that particular pose tries so hard NOT to look artificial and forced but completely fails. Hence I would *never* choose something like that for an avatar. It’s a nice enough image. But not for a profile picture. In *my* opinion.

    • Whoever styled, s/he is really on to a winner. Well, ok, maybe not that granddad plaid-with-knitted-tie combo 😬. That was really not my favourite look at all. But the casual jumper-corduroy outfit is *chefskiss*

      • I agree, I think RA was styled. I am surprised by how good he looks all matchy matchy in cream and beige. I think the photographer must have applied a tinted filter to the photos; RA”s skin tone looks to have a pale golden undertone adding warmth, whereas he is usually pretty pale with cool pink undertones to his skin.

I had to have a quiet chuckle over his answer to what makes a nobleman – it could have been taken straight out of a N & S fanfic!

        • There is definitely some post-production in the images – colour correction to get a nice healthy skin-tone. I like the result.
Haha, NS fan fic. In fact, I wonder what his background research on Thornton was like. The stuff for fan fic, too?

  2. Ooof! indeed. I love all the photos, but I’m sorta over the Professor A look, so that eliminates one.

The cream-colored sweater is so different from his preferred all black that it really pops. Looks so soft I want to run my hands all over it. Oh, who am I kidding?! 😂

Of these remaining shots the smiling/laughing one seems most natural to me. Maybe because I so want to picture him happy. Always.

    • Yeah, that’s well put. I am over the Prof A look, too. I’ve always favoured the casual look, anyway, so this is much more up my street (although black was always my favourite look). It’s simply great to see something new and something different. We’ve seen enough black leather jackets, right?
Same here re. the laughing image. Particularly because he always claims his face doesn’t lend itself to happy looks. Rubbish, as proven by the photo.

  3. These recent photos are just spellbinding (Including the one on his website). My favourite one here is the one with the camera as I love his expression, and the top one is so cuddlesome! And he loves cheese fondue! We eat this regularly and I would very happily share a pot with him – in a remote snowy chalet, with him wearing that jumper.

    • LOL – it’s nice how the latest snippets are feeding immediately into little dream scenarios 👍🏻. (I like the pose in the one with the camera. That’s something we haven’t seen from him before, and this relaxed pose with the long legs looks great on him. Not so sure about the silly vintage camera, though.)

  4. OMG I was drooling into my cereal this morning. That first photo is stunning, shades of the Sarah Dunn and An Le shots which are among my favourites. I love this look on him – stubble/light beard, longer hair and silver temples. Then there’s that heart stopping smile of his, eye crinklitage and exposed forearms. And I can’t stop zeroing in on that exposed ankle in the camera shot – thank you HQ! The off-white tones look fabulous on him, bonus points to whoever styled him for this shoot. The fabric of his pants looks to be baby wale corduroy, which is soft and velvety, so it’s not just the snuggly jumper that’s inviting to the touch! 😉

    • 😂
His look is really nice in these photos. And despite the photoshop, I think he looks “age-appropriate”, as in: mature man, not some artificially enhanced fake youth. The light and casual look is universally attractive, much more so than the usual dark stuff or the devoid-of-life b/w.
Funny that you mention the exposed ankle. That is my absolute kink. I have always loved men baring their ankles. Sexy!

  5. oh wow ALL THE PHOTOS!! 🤩
I have to say I love the last one, that you don’t favour but I have always found this looking up from a bowed head pose extremely alluring with the lower half of the eyes showing lots of white… maybe I can convince you to include that pic in future oooofs, even if it doesn’t personally appeal to you that much – you know purely for the sake of science? 😉

    • It would probably a much better exercise if I *ooof*ed pictures that *don’t* appeal to me – because I get less distracted. – I get the appeal of the look from below his brow and do not dislike it here, either. What I don’t really like is the pose. Just looks too contrived to me.

    • It is so interesting to me how differently we all see things. While the first one is my favourite, too, I didn’t see any bashfulness in it at all. I only focussed on the laughter 😂. The last one is my least favourite 🙈

      • I like the first one. I am sure I have seen that arm pose before with the “bashful” smile. Maybe it”s in his repetoire of poses…Captivating as his smile is, my eye is drawn lower, to his crotch, and the creases in his corduroy jeans! ‘nough said.😉

        • There was a similar one where he is leaning on his arms, dressed in a blue/teal jumper. I liked that one better, though, because he wasn’t resting his head on his arms like he does in this one.

  6. My first post ! Rewrote 3 times last night–wanting to say something art-y about photo 3 a la Guilty “oofs”😂. Shadow behind the right shoulder defines the beautiful bicep while the shortened sweater sleeves give us a peek of the graceful yet masculine wrists and says, “casual and lived in”; the tone-on-tone and differing textures of the clothes feel cool and sophisticated yet youthful (corduroy, may I rub on you? Ankle, you are dangerously exposed). Following the shadow from right knee down draws us directly to the delicious indentation he’s making with his right heel.
–How’d I do??!! Hopefully not too bad at a first try. Bottom line, every time I tried writing I’d wind up exasperated, saying, “I can’t stop looking at it!” Great to read all your comments here!

    • Hello psr and welcome here! Thanks for writing your first post and contributing some *ooof* 😉 I particularly liked your “Ankle, dangerously exposed” – oh yes, that is something that really appeals to me.

      • Thanks for the welcome, as I felt silly right after! And thanks to everyone (here and on me + richard armitage), because being new to the fandom, it’s so meaningful (thought-provoking, challenging, engaging, transformative, hilarious) to read the old (and new) posts that are still so relevant to newcomers like myself. …On a more serious note, sending sincere best wishes for your hubby’s health…

        • Nothing to feel silly for! Ha, I mean, I am maintaining a whole BLOG full of sweet nothings about our favourite man 😉. Feel free to gush!
And I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the back catalogue, too. Just because they were written a while back, doesn’t mean that they are not relevant anymore. And it is interesting for me, too, to revisit them.
Many thanks for your good wishes!
