Time to spread some luuuurve! Before I get to the aforementioned raffle, let me precede the procedure with a few warm words. I would just like to take the opportunity to send a bit of love to all of you. No matter whether you are following my call for a bit of Valentine’s action today, or whether you choose to ignore the day on your blog; whether you come from Twitter, or tumblr, or whether you are a blog-less commentator – or even those of you who prefer to read here without making yourselves known – I would just like to say “thank you”!

It is with absolute conviction that I can tell you that knowing you are out there, is a major driving force for me! You help me get out of bed in the morning – because I cannot wait to see what has happened on Twitter overnight, whether there are comments on my blog, and what my fellow bloggers have written on their own blogs. You unknowingly kick my ass into gear, giving me the motivation to write and interact. You inspire my creativity by sharing your own creative work, or by bouncing ideas around that find their way into one of my shrines or other creative endeavours. You keep me up to date with what is going on with Mr A, talking me down the proverbial ledge when I am displeased with the OOA, and fuelling my enthusiasm when some noteworthy new work or interview has seen the light of day. And last but not least, you broaden my horizons by sharing your life with me. You deserve some love *mwah mwah*

As for Mr A and Valentine’s Day – I don’t think he needs a separate love letter from me. My *whole blog* is a veritable love letter to him…

But apart from RAlove, I also have a little RAffle for you! Easy on the capitalisation, Guylty… it’s a tiny bit annoying, that habit…  You may have thought that RAPS Inc. had folded, judging by the lack of company news in the last while. However, the creative team was busy expanding their product range. Here is the latest press release:

Ok, all this nonsense aside – the items you see in the gallery above are all up for grabs. Five items in total, so a better chance than usual to win something:

1st prize: 1 cushion cover
2nd prize: 1 large washbag
3rd prize: 1 lunchbag
4th prize: 1 small zipper pouch
5th prize: 1 phone cover/tissue holder

To be in for the raffle, all you need to do is leave me a comment here on the WordPress blog post. The prizes will be raffled among all entries. One entry per person.     • I am really looking forward to seeing the photo of your plushie collection. I knew you made many different versions of OR, but I was blown away yesterday when I saw the whole box of them. Just amazing creativity, Nancy. (And they are only the RA plushies – there are all the other fandoms, too…)
      Kitty unfortunately is not part of the package. He graciously stayed in the shot – for a change.

  12. The new collection is impressive, you are so talented! I can bet Mom Armitage would like to have such items. Happy Valentine’s Day! Btw, my plan for today is to watch N&S while sewing the pillow cover, but I don”t have a sewing machine, so I’ll do it like Mrs. Thornton!

    • Hehe, not sure if Mom Armitage would swoon over the peaches quite as much as we do *eeek*. (I’m just thinking – as the mother of a guitar-god-in-waiting, I am wondering what it must be like to see one’s own flesh and blood adored and lusted after like RA. Hmph. I better stop imagining that – a bit of a buzzkill…)
      And wow – you are hand-sewing! That is proper dedication and craft, especially on bigger items such as a pillow cover. It will be even more special for it!

  15. I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out the significance of all the items printed on the fabric, which has been fun! I’m stuck on the red rose though, is it RA related in a specific way?

    • That was exactly what I wanted… you to try and piece it together. The red rose has puzzled other fans before you, too. Here’s the hint: He’s one of the lesser known characters, and he is nice at the beginning – but becomes envious and jealous at the end. His behaviour towards his wife is altogether unacceptable, even though he gave her roses at the beginning of their relationship…

        • bravo – yes, I chose him. I know he’s neither well-known nor overall loveable. But there were a few swoon-worthy scenes in Miss Marie Lloyd. I just loved how he woo’d and pursued, wined and dined her at the beginning, then the reaction to her news that she is pregnant *thud* and lastly (although he is already a bad boy by then) his antics in the “gentlemen’s club”… very sexy *coughs*.
          (Ok, but in truth, I was looking for symbols that were red, because I had decided on a red-white-black theme for this design… hence he came into play…)

  22. Wow! The exclusive Charactère Collection is certain to become all the rage, and I can attest to the product claims. Luxurious bagmanship at its finest! Congrats to RAPS, Inc. on the new expansion! I think the photographer is lucky to have such a handsome feline model, and so cooperative, too. Pretty sure my cats would refuse to get OFF the cushion, or decide to clean their private parts during the modeling session!

    • It was a new departure for the cat model as well. “Le Jag” is usually camera-shy and departs as quickly as possible. I attribute his cooperation to the irresistable cushion to his left – he just couldn’t leave the gorgeousness…

        • Nö, sowas wird ja immer spontan entschieden. Und im Wesentlichen war ja auch das Audible Interview schon bekannt. Das war ja jetzt die ungekürzte Fassung – von der man die Hauptpunkte schon kannte.

  26. Hope you and Mr. Guylty had a sweet Valentine’s Day. Our Day began with storms and tornados dropping all over Houston. Lost power and internet for a while but at least no home damage.
    Instead of a quiet day at home, I ended up being invited to join two of my favorite people for their anniversary dinner (along with other friends). I like that they want friends to celebrate with them.
    Trying to figure out all the symbols on the new little bags, just like on your first fabric.

    • We celebrated V-Day by assembling a new lamp and bookcase for our daughter *haha*. (V-Day is not really a big thing in our household.) How nice, though, to celebrate the day with friends. Love among friends is just as worthy as love between lovers.

      • I recognize Thornton’s silhouette, Chop’s chess piece, and Dolly’s dragon. I think the roses might be poor Percy (am I the only person who felt sorry for him because of the way Marie treated him? She was so insensitive.). The peaches could represent any of his bare bum performances (yummy Lucas, ripe Porter, juicy Daniel, plump Paul, a second bite of Dolly) but that may be my naughty mind which cannot look at fuzzy peaches at the grocery anymore without thinking of biting into The Armitage’s.
        The record has thrown me…it is a record, right? I’m coming up blank but will continue to think on it. Of course, if it’s Ultimate Force I’m out of luck because I haven’t seen that one. Or Frozen. Or Urban for that matter but I remember photos of Chop playing chess which is why I figured that was the character. I keep nagging Candida Brady and the studio to just release the damn thing on DVD so that we can see it.

        • You are absolutely right with all your guesses, Tommie. The roses are for Percy – and I am actually with you. I don’t condone his threatening and physically abusive behaviour towards his wife, but I think she could probably have been a little bit more sensitive towards him… Anyway, he is the rose. The peach very rightly stands for his bare bum performances – and particularly for Daniel Miller’s plump bum. (Damn maybe I should’ve used a plum, not a peach?)
          As for the record – hehe, you *should* really know who it stands for. After all you *have* seen that character. He is a music lover, and his favourite band is Procul Harum…
          BTW – have you seen the raffle results…???!!!

            • Hooray. Yay! You got it. Indeed, it is Kenneth. It took me a while to come up with a symbol to represent him, and I was helped by some other lovely commenters… I think it is pretty fitting because records are being handled a couple of times in the play, and I will never *ever* forget the moment when Kenneth listens to Jamie’s suggestion of The Stone Roses while standing in the doorway, still dressed in his trenchcoat. The way Armitage wagged his head to the rhythm, that music-connoiseeur look on his face – it was priceless, yet SO absolutely true to life. Loved it.
